Johan "Naniwa" Lucchesi defeats Sasha "Scarlett" Hostyn in the showmatch for 14 Bitcoins. According to the coinmill.com conversion rates, Naniwa's winnings from the series are worth upwards of $8,600.

The showmatch, supported by a myriad of sponsors, was set up with the goal of finding the best non-Korean of 2013. Over the year, the Koreans walked out with every single major title, leaving [A]'s Naniwa and Acer's Scarlett in an ambiguous race of who will inherit the title from the legendary Stephano.

The series went set for set for the first four games until back-to-back victories were scored by Naniwa on Polar Night and Star Station. This marked the event of the Bo7 series and the Swede walked out with the 14 Bitcoins, a sum worth $8,625 according to coinmills.com exchange rates of December 22nd.

The victory over Scarlett marks the end of the 2013 for the Swede, a year that started with taking second at DreamHack Stockholm, continued with a top four finish at MLG Spring, a silver medal from IEM New York and eventually a ticket to Blizzcon where he was the only foreigner.

The two-part VOD from the showmatch series can be found in our VOD section or on the showmatch GosuBet page.
