Blizzard and NetEase will be the official sponsors of this year's WCG China nationals, which are to start October 11th. As a result, the prize pool for the top three finishers will be doubled, up to 90,000 CNY (approx. $14,700).
60,000 CNY or $9,800 will be awarded to China's national champion for this year's qualifier, with 20,000 CNY going to the runner-up and 10,000 CNY to the bronze medalist. In addition to the cash prize, the top three will also earn spots for the WCG Grand finals to be held in Kunshan, China November 28th - December 1st.
Keep in mind that the increase in prize pool is for the WCG China national finals only. As of September 9th, no prize pool distribution for the Grand Finals has been announced.
