Juan 'Major' Lopez joined Team 8 in early January of this year after a five-month stint with ROOT Gaming, fulfilling a career-long dream to join a KeSPA team. Invited to WCS America for Season 1, he made an early departure in the round of 32 but he recently regained a Premier League berth last week in Challenger League group play. The announcement came Monday that Major would be leaving the KeSPA 8th Team as part of a series of roster cuts by the organization.
Heading into week four of Round 6, KT Rolster is sitting in last place with one win and two losses. While they fight to retain their overall second place position in the league, 8th Team is already out of contention for the playoffs. The matchup is set to take place this Sunday, June 23rd, with Major and Flash taking the stage in the fourth pairing.
