Thorzain elected MVP of Proleague round 1

EG's Marcus "ThorZaIN" Eklöf was voted the MVP award for the first round of Proleague by representatives of the media. The Swede came out ahead of StarCraft legends Jaedong, Flash and Baby to be the first foreigner to ever win the award.

Thorzain was nominated after his victory against Classic on December 29th, which not only secured a 4-1 win for EG-TL against STX Soul but was also the first foreign victory in the Proleague in over seven and a half years.

The voting occurred on January 3rd and the results were announced earlier today. EG-TL's Hwanni commented on Thorzain's victory and had this to say:

"ThorZaIN's victory in Proleague was the first foreigner victory in 2,748 days so I think that's why it has been receiving a lot of recognition. I believe this achievement is not only a victory for ThorZaIN but for every other foreigner player out there as well."
