The 9th season of ESWC is upon us with the international qualifying phase to take place July to October 2012.
The ESWC will have a varied games library under it's belt this time around featuring the like of: Starcraft 2 and DotA 2 as well as ShootMania, TrackMania, FIFA 13 and Tekken Tag Tournament.
Last year in Starcraft 2, Stephano had a very strong run dropping only 2 games the entire championship bracket. Crushing MarineKing at the semi's 2-0 and overcoming MaNa at the finals 3-1 to take the title and 26,000$ in prize money. MarineKing made a convincing victory at the bronze finals beating Grubby 3-1.
In DotA 2 we saw the powerhouse that is Na'Vi crush the opposition winning over monkeybusiness in the Semi's and beating EHOME 2-0 at the grand finals for the title and 12,000$. The bronze went to 4GL as they managed to defeat monkeybusiness.
The international Grand Finals for this season will take place from November 1st to 4th for the second consecutive year during the Paris Games week - Hall 1 at Porte de Versailles in Paris, France.
Preliminary trails for each territory will be organized separately. More information such as tournaments, show matches and additional games will be announced during the coming weeks.
