4 million unique viewers and 807 hours of produced content are the figures that paint the biggest ever DreamHack Summer event.
According to the data provided, more than 15,531 gamers have attended DreamHack Summer in person to watch or play StarCraft 2, Dota 2, Heroes of Newerth and League of Legends. The size of the event, reaching for the first time the proportions usually reserved for the season-closing DH Winter, is well presented in the figures given by DreamHack administration:
19% growth compared to DreamHack Summer 2011
$243,000 in total prize money
807 hours of produced content
4,068,303 unique views and 12,522,319 total views (an increase from 1.5 mil unique views of DH Summer '11)
Those are certainly impressive numbers for DreamHack and they have three more events to try and top them. The renowned European event will return to Valencia September 22-23 after its summer break, will visit Bucharest at the end of October, and will have its season closed with DreamHack Winter, November 22-25.
