Greg "Idra" Fields and Min Chul "MC" Jang were announced as the last two player to get spots at the upcoming Iron Squid tournament. The event itself is scheduled to end early May and will have sixteen of worlds most renowned players competing for the $25,000 that will be up for grabs.

Announced almost a month ago, the newly born Iron Squid tournament has the ambition to make its way towards the higher podiums of StarCraft 2 events. Its first season is to have sixteen top contenders (14 invites and two qualifier winners) play online through group stage and a direct elimination playoffs until the top four is made known. Those will then be flown to Paris, France to play the remaining matches in front of a live audience.

In the course of several weeks, Iron Squid announced fourteen invites, boosting its player line-up with the names of MarineKing, Alive, Stephano, Puma, Leenock, ToD, Ret and more. Meanwhile, the qualifier winners were also determined, namely the Korean zerg duo TSL_Symbol and ZeneXLife.

On February 10th, the last pair of Iron Squid contenders was revealed - a pair the SC2 community is most familiar with. Those were EG's Idra and SK.MC - two of the best representatives of their respective countries and who have a long history of rivalry, spanning across three MLG and two DreamHack events.

MC got this! He is on fire lately. ;)

And I am amazed to see Symbol, that is one really good Zerg that is pretty much unknown to the world.

HasuObs and IdrA worst players here. Symbol have a great potential to become top tier zerg and he have time to practice until this event start "The event itself is scheduled to end early May" lets wait and see what he will bring to the table at the upcoming Iron Squid. Also i think Ret and ToD will not advance from their groups if top 2 advance, but i also hope they will prove me wrong .
Strong Korean line-up it's gonna be nice to watch.

#7 venjunse you are bias to IdrA probably because he is from USA as you are.
But atm he is in da slump same as HasuObs, and can't compare to Ret atm.

"followed by tod then idra maybe. idk. oh idra is better than Ret ofc."

You say "idk" so u are not sure about either, but i understand you. You would like i'm wrong and IdrA play as he used to before 6 months or so. Ret play better and he did improve but didn't win big tournament yet.
ToD have a chance to prove himself as a sc2 player and i wish him best of luck. Since IdrA throw his chances away with rage quits and manners, and would have to make some notable results in future to prove us wrong.
