Hacker Reaches Top of NA Grand Master League

A hacker has gone on a drop hacking spree to reach the top of the North American Grand Master League. The hacker had stopped at 69 wins and had even caused some top players to stop playing the ladder while this was all happening.

Going by the handle of PiLLaGe, the hacker has reached the top of the North American Grand Master League in under 5 hours. To date, this is one of the most blatant acts of hacking on the ladder and seems to be aimed at purely causing mischief and grief. Before this, the hacker had not played in over two months.

A closer look into his most recent games from the last season of the ladder reveals that he had also drop hacked as well. His last season record was a 41-1 while in the Master League. All of his games were also under one to two minutes which is a pretty clear sign of drop hacking. This means that for over two months the hacker has had the resources to drop hack and had completely gone under the radar in Master League before he went on his two month hiatus. Why he has suddenly decided to return after two months is uncertain. It could simply be by chance or simply boredom that the hacker decided to pick up the game again. Blizzard has yet to comment on their official forums in regards to the hacker, but it can be assumed that swift action will be taken. However, this isn't the first time that PiLLaGe has been found abusing the system. Yet he is now back and this time the account may be gone for good.

Since this hacker had gone relatively unnoticed for so long in the Master League last season, it may be important for all players to be a little suspicious of quick games that end in a disconnect. Players can check the match histories of their opponents in by right clicking on their opponents name in the score screen and going to their profiles. A series of quick wins under a minute each is a clear sign of drop hacking, however anyone who wants to get away with it will not be as obvious as PiLLaGe.
