FXOpen Invitational Series #2 Begins Tonight!

FXOpen Invitational Series #2 starts tonight with rounds 1-4 of the upper brackets and 1-6 of the lower brackets. Our very own GGNaugrim and GGInfernal will be participating as well.

Starting at 02:00 CET, Day 1 of the FXOpen Invite will being with all 64 players in action. The players will be battling over a prize pool of $1500 with $900 going to first place. Team GosuGamer's GGNaugrim and GGInfernal will also be taking part in this tournament, seeded 25 and 31 respectively.

"I think it's a shame that the tournament is played in the middle of the night, from an European perspective," Naugrim answered when asked about his first match with mouz.Strelok. "I will probably be very tired and having to play on the US server will produce delay on my part, so microing will be much harder. It could go either way, but if we can play that match on the European server i expect myself to win."

When asked further about what he thought of Strelok, Naugrim replied that he believes Strelok to be a very solid macro Terran player. "His TvZ in BW was very good, among the best in the world outside of Korea, I would say." He does admit however that he has not had the chance to play Strelok in SC2 much and cannot comment on his style of play, but says that, "he [Strelok] produces great results though, so I'm sure he's a great SC2 player as well."

GGNaugrim will face off against mouz.Strelok in his first match and will face either Looky or EGIdrA in round 2 of the upper brackets if he beats Strelok. GGInfernal faces 34th seed WE.SuperPrime in his first match. If he succeeds in advancing past the first round he has a chance of playing either RGlFuRy or second seed dignitas.SeleCT. Neither members of Team GosuGamers have an easy road ahead of them, but we all wish them good luck tonight.
