The winner of Go4SC2 Monthly Finals for October

In less than a week, SjoW earned himself €700 from winning the Go4SC2 #53 Sunday Cup, followed by a win in the monthly finals. GosuGamers sat down with the Swede while he had a late night celebration meal around 02:00 CET.

- "It feels awesome, I didn't expect to win both. I have really been on a run lately, and that's been helping out for sure. I've gained some confidence in my game.

What do you think is the main reason for your recent success?

- "I have been practicing a lot and I'm not that nervous anymore as I used to be when I'm playing against other good gamers."

You just told me you went to get a meal, what does your 02:00 AM celebration meal consist of?

- "(laughs) I'm eating a burger right now, along with some coca cola. I wish I had some fries to it, but I'm too lazy to get into that (smiles)"

You went 3-0 against MaNa in the grand final, tell us a little about the games

- "In the first game on Blistering Sands I expected some kind of early push like 4-Warp Gate or Void Rays because it's very strong on that map due to the backdoor.

He did the opposite and expanded trying to go for a macro game instead, I spotted his expansion early and made an expansion myself, and later went on with a timing push that pretty much sealed the deal."

- "In the second game I was fearing some kind of push again, or Dark Templars. He did an expansion again so I totally misread him, again... I was on a different tech route this game, going 1/1/1 opening instead of bio. So I tried a timing push with pdd which wasn't really smart after taking a look at the replay. But his army wasn't together because of my banshee harassment, and he got a bad position in the fight so I won."

- "The third game I was pretty sure he was desperate and was going for some kind of all-in and this time my predictions were right! I managed to hold it off and from there it was pretty much over."

Which one of your opponents in this tournament was the hardest to face and why?

- "Strelok was for sure the hardest opponent. I always have trouble with his style, I think his style kinda counters mine. And we have played a lot against each other so we both know each other's games. And usually most aggression style attempts we try will get countered."

What are your goals for StarCraft 2? Any plans for South Korea to partake in the GSL some day?

- "I have a lot of offline tourneys coming up the next couple of weeks in Sweden. Tomorrow HazardLAN, next week it's the Inferno Online and later this month it's DreamHack. I haven't really planned anything further, but I'm going to GSL in the future for sure."

Canadian Protoss player KiWiKaKi recently announced he will be going to South Korea, how do you think the guy who knocked you off the GosuGamers King of the Hill throne will do in GSL Season 3?

- "I think he's a great player, and if he's in good shape and have good days when it counts he can win the whole thing for sure"

Who will win between SlayerS_BoxeR and NesTea, and what do you think of the underdog FoxeR?

- "I haven't really followed GSL since the round of 32, but I'm rooting for SlayerS_BoxeR of course! And FoxeR is great for us Terran players, showing us a new way to play"

Any final words?

- "I want to thank my team, my sponsors and all the noobs in swe.sc2 IRC channel, thx!"
