ESL reveals prize pool for EPS

ESL to give away €11,500 in its first StarCraft 2 EPS. The winner takes €3,000.

EPS Season 17 - Prize Pool
Place Winnings
1st €3,000
2nd €1,500
3rd €700
4th €300
Each win €50
ESL announced the prize pool for their 17th ESL Pro Series Season. An immense sum of €125,000 will be given out in eight games, with €11,500 going to StarCraft 2. Each win nets the player €50. Another €23,300 will be spread between the attendees of the Intel Friday Night Games within the eight represented games.

The first matches of this season were already played last week. Following the second day of matches, we see five players at the top of the chart, having beaten both of their opponents. The next matches will take place on Tuesday, September 7th, 2010 at 19:30 CEST.

They should make a European EPS. Having a couple of good foreigners and a group of half mediocre German players battle it out isn't very exciting tbh. And then they could also increase the prize money. Would be better for the European sc2 scene in general.

German e-sports seem to be really strong

#1 hm well 90 percents of all german eps players are always in the last rounds of the go4sc cup.i wouldnt say they are mediocre;) "mediocre players" like darkforce is 4th in the EU ladder,naruto and rine made it to the semi finals in the last EU Cup and goody has defeated cloud very easily. so yeah this is it.
but certainly more foreigners would make the league stronger and even more intressting and exciting for more viewers.
but keep in mind its just the FIRST sc2 eps at all and im sure in the next year there will be more foreigners coming and living in germany so the quality will definately grow again.

EPS needs an english cast, so the international interest would rise!

#4 i bet the prize pool for sc2 will be increased in season 2 by a lot

Great job pushing the e-sports as well as you do Germany.. I hope it will grow even more as #3 mentioned. The quality could definitely be increased and us picky viewers wants the best watches ^^

there is also other eps

frensh eps is coming

alpen (austria swizz etc) eps too

germany was always like korea in wc3 when it came to prices, tournaments and leagues unfortunately our players were still horrible international lol maybe this times things are different in sc2.

+ GoOdy and HausObs are more than "medicore"

Yeah ger, imo, have many skilled players but no very big name has revealed yet
Socke? doubt that he is top3 euro protoss, mlg's non-euro tour, HuK, winner didnt even pass groupstage in tour with many eur players
