DotA-based map for StarCraft 2: SoTIS

The map emplys the use of mercenaries, and has a combat system which revolves around the three unit types Armored, Psionic and Biological.
Map creator Ekcolnovkol has the map up on the Asia, US and European servers. Check out these two videos here if you are still doubting whether to try it or not.

| I think these are good days for DotA. At first, HoN (s2 games) and LoL (riot games) evolve. Before 6.68 release, all that drama about Ice and s2 and pendragon. Drama mostly evolves, when it's about the money. Money means, the game is getting more popular and sponsors and companies are willing to put more money in it. And now Blizzard even has their own DotA map made for SC2, so they can attract DotA players before Valve. So many game companies trying to get money out of the DotA concept, that means, it works. I'm getting really excited about the future and DotA 2.0 by Icefrog & Valve :-) PS.: From their homepage: "What is SotIS - Storm of the Imperial Sanctum is a custom UMS for the Blizzard product Starcraft 2. | hahaha, this is just a map, not trying to f**k-up dota or be better, is just a map :) . And it looks so cool, i don`t get it why people feel the need to defend DOTA when a new map comes out ... competition is good. So nice work ! |

| #32: Elma is a really nice game. I used to play it a lot too, half of our class did. :D I like the graphics, and I'm pretty sure there will be a lot to discover for all the develoeprs trying to continue DotA's success on Starcraft II. Will be nice to play it once in a while, I will definitely try it. But DotA 2 is what I'm really waiting for! |
