DotA-based map for StarCraft 2: SoTIS

The map emplys the use of mercenaries, and has a combat system which revolves around the three unit types Armored, Psionic and Biological.
Map creator Ekcolnovkol has the map up on the Asia, US and European servers. Check out these two videos here if you are still doubting whether to try it or not.

| Well sc2`s graphics allows for a better re-re-report of the old AoS/DoTA...it actually has some...fantasy in it,not like the old Dotx sc1 maps or the ancient AoS (which was good as an ideea and nothing more)...i still can`t get it why everyone needs to defend dota...this wasnt meant to be a threat but a sc2 custom which is suppose to give players a different perspective upon sc2`s gameplay possibilities. IceFrog can`t (or if he can it`s pretty hard) to get a license for the name "DoTA"...it isnt his from the first time so he`d actually have to find Guinsoo and all the developers before him and ask for their approval and only after he would be able to register it as a trademark:).. And comparing this sc2 custom with HoN is pretty retarded too loool...it`s a different game and graphics engine...it`s like comparing mercedes and bmw...practically the same shit but one is focused full on the "DoTA" ideeaa while the other is meant to perpetuate the greatest RTS game in history...starcraft-broodwar. | omg, all these butthurt dota kids are so annoying. nothing will replace your insanely super awesome mega dota, no need to insult every similar game. anyway, stop claiming it to be the original. DotA is a copy itself, hence it's cool to see new remakes on better engines. this looks pretty awesome, but since starcraft 2 has no leaver protection or reconnect system the HoN engine stays on top. |

| Starcraft's AoS and Warcraft 3's DotA were origionally made by the same guy. So please stop saying ripped off or dota was taken from aos. How can a guy rip off himself? Also why are alot of you getting so upset you should be happy. DotA started a new genre of video games called MOBA which means more game companies will develope this style of game in the future. Its a good thing honestly. I mean you dont sit around playing wolfenstein 3d still and talk about how every other fps in existance ripped it off do you? |
| Funny with all the children fapping over DoTA in this thread. DoTA is based on AoS from StarCraft 1, it's not like it was invented in TFT. I played DoTA for a few years to waste some time.. in the long run I got fed up. The game requires little to no skill, games last too long, and TFT is a horrible horrible engine to host a (custom) game in. It's fun for wasting an hour or two but seriously, it just doesn't give me the energy rush of a proper eSports game like SC2. |
