No achievements while offline

With thousands of gamers swarming to find out after 12 years what has happened to Raynor and his crew, others are finding that playing offline shows no online merit. You've just spent hours on a mission, you slammed your finger in frustration hitting "F10" and "R". Your last save point has put you in a bad situation, but you finally managed to pull through that mission. Though, what if during that you lost your connection to Battle.net? It seems like a lot of gamers are already finding this very same issue, with one of the major complaints being the lack of a disconnection message.
"Your offline Campaign progression will not grant you any achievements. Furthermore, offline mode cannot be synchronized with your Battle.net account."
Krinskal, one of the Blizzard tech support employee's gave a very blunt explaination. So, if you're trying to make it through all of the mission keep your eye on your connection. Otherwise you'll have saves, but no way to show them off to your friends.

This is a BUG. If they plan on keeping this, I will sign a petition against it.
Campaign achievements... couldnt care less to be honest.

I remember they spoke of this in an interview a while back. The question was "Do you have to be logged onto Battle.net to play the single player campaign?" And the answer was something like; "No, but you will have to be logged in to get the achievements."
People seem to have forgotten, but a lot of the issue is coming from people who get disconnected while playing online. There's no "You've been disconnect from Battle.net" like there was on broodwar to inform you. I keep tabs on the little friend counter, not sure how viable that is though.
yeah its a shame that there's no information about the disconnect ... My bnet is still bugged anyways ... it doesnt show my achievements , doesnt show my portraits , nothing ... its pretty annoying
I am pretty sure that it has told me that I have lost connection to battlenet when I played... It comes as a toast or what ever you call it...makes a sound BLING and then a message.
i give a shit on any rewards i find it childish tbh
#2 personal opinnions have great value in this matter.
I love achievements. It keeps me playing even more and I'll always have something to struggle for.
i wonder for how much will people sell acc's with all the achievements

#8 ya if ur playin campaign, a message shows up sayin something like "Your battle has disconnected, you can continue to play online but you will not be awarded any achievements" or something
WoW, u complain about that? What about THE HAIR? id tell you what i mean but i dont know how to use spoiler alert :d and i dont want someone to see it if i get it wrong
Im getting disc's in singleplayer every 15mins its annoying to save/load every 3mins to get achievements.
not that big of a deal, if u want achievements u probably already have a internet connection anywys..
I don't exactly get this whining at all. I passed all of missions yesterday and i dropped out of bnet (cause of my brother dling) 3 times. Every time I got the message (even during game) "your connection has been lost" and every time I also got after a few seconds message "you're again connected to battle.net" or something like this. I don't get what people are talking about, try to unplug yourself of internet and plug-in again - you'll see the battle.net lets ya know you've lost your connection.
lol single player campaign is probably last thing im gonna do on this game... i could care less
cuek ¬¬ monopoly
I don't really care about the awards, but I finished about 20 campaign missions, after that, I saved it and went to sleep, the next day, the last save was 6th mission (I got dc-ed from B.net that whole time) and I have to repeat the campaign again.
#1 It's not a bug. #2 I kind of agree. Also, if you get achievements offline, they have to be stored locally on you computer, at least to the next time you log on, and that would create problems if you logged in to B.net from different computers.
Well, I don't see any technical obstacles to restore connection after mission is over if connection was lost. Restore connection by re-asking login/pass and finally store all achievements. Is that too hard for them? Or they are too lazy to do that?
it is intentionaly done this way. If not connected, some derp could propably mess with the program to hack for "better achievements". If you want to show your skills I propose you do a 1v1 and kick ass a hard as you think you really are :-)
WHO THE FUCK CARES!!!! I have done the whole campaign now, i just wnat more missions, i dont care for this shit

i've seen this message but also noticed that it will show another message once the connection to battlenet has been re-established again. still, it would be better if offline campaign gameplay can be synced once you connect back to battlenet.
