SC2 in ESL Pro Series

Season #17 of the ESL Pro Series will surely bring joy to StarCraft fans. As of now it is confirmed that StarCraft 2 will be a part of the upcoming season.The season will start on August 23rd leaving the players less than a month to prepare and qualify for the tournament. The qualification itself will be held in several days in different tournaments that will include Open Cups, Invitationals and Last Chance tournaments.

The Invite Cup is definitely the highlight so far and some impressive gamers will battle each other fiercely as the top three of them will ensure their place in the finals. ESL have invited quite the plethora of names and surely the competition will be no less than spectacular.

The Invite Cup will be held on July 27th at 19:00 CET and will be broadcasted LIVE on ESL TV so be sure to take a rest from all the playing and take a good look at the tournament.

| #2 when I played Horror in Phase 1 he played Zerg. German Invite, they got some good players for sure. |

| #14 mondie did nice in phase 1 of beta, but realy bad in phase2..but hes talented so i dont think its problem at all to do well in this tournee :) And yeah, who doesnt love mondie |

| considering ESL is EU pro circuit can I assume the open cups will take place on the Euro server? I am not pro but I would love to try my luck in one of the open events will there be any on the NA server or all on EU? I know blizz said certain areas can come to NA server but we cant go to EU corect? |

| #23 You can go what server do you like.. but you net extra game copy and key :) Blizzard just say .. NO cross realm game , but you can have Eu client whit key Asia Client hit key.. etc .. Just instalgame on other directory ..play some on Eu , then come back to US , or maby im wrong dont know for sure , but think so :P |

""We’re pleased to announce that all players who purchase the Southeast Asia/Australia/New Zealand version of StarCraft® II: Wings of Liberty™ will also have the option of playing on North American servers following the launch."" I was hoping for a sure NA players can go to EU but I guess its just for these regions. to bad for me but good luck to all who go for the Open cups I am sure this will be a great tourney for all involved |

| #27 But you can download EU digital copy of SC and just buy key for it.. I dont belive that blizzard is that stiupid , and dont allow someone fron US .. to play on EU, EVEN if this person have Eu digital copy and orginal key Try to ask on blizzard SC2 forum.. |

| DeMusliM is not playing in this cup as he has not yet moved. #19, 28 All players were of course contacted to be invited... #21, 23 This is for EPS Germany, EPS Germany is for players who live in Germany #21 Dimaga is from Ukraine, Lucifron is from Spain. Ukraine and Spain are not in Germany :) #36 Yes, ESL Germany does things for Germany. ESL America (www.nationalesl.com) will do things for USA. It takes time to plan these things, and money to do them, be patient. |
