A fitting song this occasion would be StarCraft-themed The Twelve Days of Christmas as the long awaited StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty retail will be released. But already, you can download the game to prepare for the upcoming fest.
This only works if you have ordered a digital copy of the game. This will make you one of the first players in the world to log in in to the new fresh game.
How to download your copy
To download the game log in to your Battle.net account, download the copy of of choice. And at the July 27 at 10:00 CET (for Europe and Russia) you will be able to purchase and install StarCraft 2. Then you are set to play!
This will be applied to both PC and MAC users.
Please note that if you intend digital copy of StarCraft II, you can download the full game client ahead of time in order to get into the game faster. If you are planning to buy a boxed copy from a retail store, this is not for you, says Blizzard to GosuGamers.
For all our users who have won a pre-ordered copy of StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty in any of our contests, please be patient. We have not forgotten about you.

| Hmm now after beta phase 2 comes out.. many ppl have problem whit fps I play on Athlon 2 X2 3.5 Ghz , 1GB ram , geforce 9500 Gt 1 gb Before phase 2 i can play smooth..on FULL Medium settings , now for smooth 2vs2 play i have to play on Medium/LOW to get smotth play in 2vs2 big fights i hope they fix it in official relase :) |

| what you mean fix it? U dont think theyve just highered the specs? Maybe added even better stuff to sc2 so you need better card? Thats my guess. |

| Some things to say: As #21 says, ignore #4. In response to #15, yes, it matter, you can't play on a US client with a EU key. #18 you will be able to install it but you will have to wait to get the key from the box. @MeSaber: Stop spamming ffs laptops are not for gaming. If you want to know if you can play, just look the recommended requirements from internet. |

| I don't think it is gonna be hacked. Keys from Blizzard are very large and have like 36 characters for each part of the key. And I don't knwo why people are so excited about this, I remember two years ago when I bought L4D and we could then download first the game and wait for it to go out. When the game was available, it was simply decrypted and we were able to play it. |

| lol.. to be honest i dont care how long it takes for people to make this game un-cdkeyed. i will buy it so i can play battle.net. ull need key to play battle.net no matter what. unless u host own servers which dont need cdkeys. |

It's sufficient to use cryptography to make sure you won't be able to play the game before release time. For instance, they could make you download a version of the game where some core files have been encrypted with a very long key and then give you the key on release date. It's just as simple as that and there's no crack that could break this system.  |

| If you pre-ordered it you will probably get it the day before the release so you got it when the servers are open. That was what they did with WOW. |
