SearchDay[9]'s The King of the Beta Holds a $3000 Prizepool

For Day[9]'s Starcraft 2 Countdown party on July 26th, Day[9] is hosting the King of the Beta tournament with a prize pool of $3000, to declare one top player as the champion of the beta.

The invited players in the list to the right will be broken into round robin groups of four. The top two from each group will advance to a single elimination tournament to determine the winner. Each round robin game will be best of three, loser picks next map, and each player gets to downvote one map. In the single elimination tournament, all series will be best of five.
Prizes:
1st place: $2000
2nd place: $1000
Where:
All games (including SemiFinals and Finals) will be streamed at www.day9.tv and www.ustream.tv/day9tv
The SemiFinals and Finals will be cast live at Day[9]'s Starcraft 2 Countdown Party in Los Angeles, California All games will be archived at day9tv.blip.tv

| I really wonder how he managed to get a prizepool of 3000 for such a small tournament. Anyway from pool A tester and idra proceed, from pool B whitera and dimage I think. Then tester wins the whole thing. |

| Well I dont want to sound like troll but if you do The King of the Beta tournment you should invite all players that was sucessful in beta to show us whos thre real king. Wheres: HyprO, Demuslim, Zpux, Morrow, Brat_OK, Naniwa, Tarson, Sen, Maka, Ace, Machine, Nony, Jinro, Nazgul and probably few others... Anyways all I want to say if you do King of the Beta then its should be at least 16 or even 32 player tournament than 8. I know it would be a loooot of work and stuff and beta is ending so its impossible to organize such a tour i such a short time. Just change the name to Day[9] Invitional ;p |
| Same thing every time when there is an invite tournament, don't you understand that there is no way everyone can be invites. And also not everyone want to play or can play. I'm amazed! |

| I cannot believe there are people who don't know about IntoTheRainbow. He was in SK T1 and was well known for his crafty shuttle reaver. He was demoted to the "C" team when he went to a Beyonce concert on the day Midas' father passed away from a tragic car accident, eventually leading to retirement (he claims he didn't know.) None the less, he was the core of T1 protoss with Kingdom when T1 used to dominate Proleague. Some even say that Grrrr may have started the shuttle reaver but IntoTheRainbow was the first to actually use it like they do now. |
