South Korean Gaming website PlayXP and a blog from an Editor of thisisgame.com are hinting to a StarCraft 2 event to happen in S. Korea on June 24th.
PlayXP currently has an image up with a message to mark our calendars for June 24th 2010. In the past PlayXP has hosted a WarCraft 3 league as well as StarCraft 2 tournaments.
The blog by the thisisgame.com editor shows an image which will be slowly revealed as the June 24th date draws closer. A few redacted words and a message of something to come on June 24th can be seen.
Blizzard has had a long history of creating long teasers and slow reveals to build up to an announcement. Blizzard's e-mail to thisisgame.com also included a message to leave room for a headline on June 24th as they will give them a 'hot scoop'.
It is still unknown as to what this announcement will be, but it will definitely be a StarCraft 2 announcement. There is also a known StarCraft 2 Exhibition between two players invited by Korean Air, but whether the two are related is still unknown.
June 24th is still a month ahead of StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty's planned release on July 27th.
