Well another day has gone by and another World Cyber Game's final has passed. 16 players tried, but only one player would make it to the group stage in Singapore. That player was 
SoL.Vanilica
The event started at 09:00 CET. The players started gaming at 11:00 CET. StarCraft: Brood War, Fifa 2005, Need For Speed: Underground II, WarCraft III: the Frozen Throne, and Counter-Strike: Source were some of the official WCG games played today. Some other non WCG games that were played just for fun and prizes were Unreal Tournament II, Quake III, Pro Evolution Soccer IV, and Battle Field II.
For StarCraft: Brood War the heavy favorites were 
uT)Oxygen and SoL.Vanilica (pic). No doubt in the finals they would meet one another to see who would be crowned Brood War champion and get a trip to Singapore to face off versus some of the worlds best gamers.The protoss gamer uT)Oxygen was at a disadvantage as he came back from the loser's bracket. SoL.Vanilica had a 1-0 start over uT)Oxygen. After tough competition the two players finally started the finals.

So you can see that SoL.Vanilica arrived to play and he wanted to walk away with that championship. After the WCG event I got to talk to the runner-up, uT)Oxygen. He gave me some insight on what happened to him in the finals.

Well today you played in a very important match. What happened today? Why did things go wrong?
- Oh well. There are several factors that made me do mistakes. First of all, I was too much self confident (yes, that’s possible),2nd, I underestimated vanilica, and 3rd , I didn’t sleep very much. Oh yeah, and 4, playing under pressure, which is like whole hall looking at u on video beams ( yes, we have those in Serbia ), is kind of hard.
Well the pressure is very understanding. What happened inside the games?
- Oh well. In first game, on Gaia, I decided to go dt drop, because one my good friend Sarma told me to do. I was kind of sure that it won’t work , but well , I tried. So, I go dt drop , with 3 goons, and he comes with 4 vults to my main, and of course, enters my base and kills some probes, not much. Then I go with dt drop to his base, 2 dt's, kill a turret and nothing else And I put fast exp , to make up for it, and I decide to try fast storm drop, to harass his eco a bit. And I put storm to upgrade and make 2 temp and 2 zeal ...And go to his base, and drop all of those , when there was like 3 seconds more to upgrade storm. So, no storm for me ,dead shuttle, dead 2 temps, and 2 zeals, made me say gg
2nd game was kind of really good one. One of most intense games I’ve ever played in LAN. Mostly because of 300 people screaming on every good move of one of us, so I felt like I am in OGN or something. I picked paranoid android, and spawned up. Sent early 8pylon probe scout to make him put gas before rax, and made 2 gate range goons. I harassed his wall a bit, and when tank came out, I stayed in front of his base not to allow him to leave easy. Then I saw he is doing some vult harass, so I added 3rd gate and some observer, and when I had like 12 goon I made exp. I saw him put his exp and 3rd and 4th fact, so I put 4th gate, and citadel, to do some zeal. I massed goons some more, and 4 zeal in shuttle, when I saw him coming out with bunch of units, and going through the bridge, the little one. At the moment I had 20 goons and shuttle with 4 zeal, he had like 12 tank 5-6 vult. So I decided to go through big bridge, and attack his exp, making him come back to defend and leaving him unsieged ,which is kind of good for me. Well, unfortunately, he played it smart, and didn’t come back at once, he Sieged slowly. Which gave me an idea to kill as much scv's as I can , and cc...so I killed all scv's in exp, and his cc, and I even got out with 6 goons, but he lost not much units. That was the moment when I lost the game, because I relaxed too much , and had only 6 gate, and decided to put 3rd exp, which was totally unnecessary and then , some great fights with small armies are being held and I , somehow , come out as a loser, and type out gg
