WCG 2011 is horrible this year (3774 reads, 16 replies, 5 months ago)
1. low price money for sc2 and wc3 in comparison to the standard
2. low resolution on the main stream while its higher on the other two streams, and every stream lagged on the sound and game.
3. bo1 for wc3 ( moon out)
4. useless fun games which are just there so korea gets a lot of gold medals
5. tasteless, artosis and rotterdam had to comment on a stream instead being in game, koreans got the control over the observation nice and balanced isnt it for a tournament that used to be the olympic games of video gaming???
6. and i cant even visit their wcg page, i was always relied on team liquid streams and gosugamers for information.

a really horrible tournament is that and wcg obviously is dead now, it might going on for some years but it isnt what it used to be.

Its obviously korea has a high corruption
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corruption_Perceptions_Index
in comparison to western countries so this has an effect as well in this years wcg.

In comparison to blizzacon this looked like a kindergarten halloween party. Yeah it aint over yet but for me it is.
warcraft 3 forever making things better and better WAR CR..

HFkami, agree. I didn't even watch a single game and to be honest i don't regret it. It's not the enthusiasm i had some years ago. Now it's like ... "oh, it's WCG ? .... ok whatever".

As about the organization .... big fail.

And also big thanks to my country for sending nobody to WCG for SC2. Keep failing guys, as you do for like 7 years now...
HardCore till i die yo, this is my story !

I didn't watch any of the games from this WCG, and I think that there are some good games, but WCG has been shit for last couple of years... organization that is.

When was the last time a WCG was really good ?
WCG 2004 in San Francisco ?

back then there was decent coverage , decent competition , good e-sports games and decent price money
1st 20K 2nd 10K 3rd 5K

Counter-Strike 1.6
FIFA 2004
Need for Speed: Underground
StarCraft: Brood War
Unreal Tournament 2004
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne
Halo

Now WCG is a mixture of bad coverage , medicore streams , medicore competition ... medicore price money very bad tournament formats and lots of bullshit games ...

WCG were never a spectacular event for me. Rather boring.
Streams were very bad, but honestly, BW didnt even have a stream afaik.
BW WCG went by without I am realizing. Only updated tournament brackets with some coverage.
Besides, there are so much more challenging tournaments in the sc2 scene.
WCG become very worthless.
And the players. 90% I didnt know.
Ofc MvP wins such a tournament. They should kick out SC2 and add BW again.
Comfort :) Calm down :) Jackass!

The biggest problem was that WCG included way too many games in rooster...
I mean, past years, SCBW and WC3 was kind of the exclusivity. It kind of lose its tradicionality and had a bad organization due to, the bigger event is the harder is to organizate.
I didn't like at all, I wish WC3 wasnt in such a shameful and known event, I know the game is "dying" but putting only 10% of the games, which wasnt that much for being 2 groups of 4 players, in SECOND stage (when avaliable) was kind of disrrespectful.
For me WCG that deserves respect was from its start until 2008/2009
