Are you thinking? Time and time again, I always watch streams or videos where players are analyzing their tactics, player opponents, strategies, maps, etc. They are playing the game to the fullest extent. When I play I don't think at all? I play the game, and go through strategies, but the entire time my mind is blank. Not a thought is coming in or out. The only sound is, that of music and in-game sound. My question is mostly if this is normal from all gamers? I always hear progamers and casters saying Starcraft is a game of thought process and analyzing build orders. I've been playing Starcraft for 7 years, and SC2 for 4 days now. In Broodwar I maintained 190+ APM with EAPM of 140+ but I never went into games with thought process. I understand that too an extent its muscle memory and adaption, but I never think in games! Of course there are few instances where my brain steps in and tells me to do something differently, but it's not a constant process in-game. In Starcraft 2 I was 4th ranked Diamond Zerg, and then I stopped playing until now. I still enter games and I don't think at all. I'm just trying to maintain a new work ethic, and was wondering if I was the only one who does this.. |
