ClouD interviewed about the prize money (1176 reads, 3 replies, 6 months ago)
EPS-attendee Carlo 'ClouD' Giannacco talks about his current live as pro-gamer, the transfer from MYM to his current team, his homesickness and the price money issue.

Some impressions:

What made you leave MYM and join Team Alternate?

ClouD: Alternate made me a really good offer and I felt like I needed to change something to become a better Progamer. I always believed I had the talent to be among the very best players, also because of my ability in SCBW, but the way I was living in Leipzig was not the best for me to have a good mindset and I would often get depressed over losses or small bad things. It's not much about money rather the fact I had the chance to know Take while I was in MYM and he proposed me to practice at his place and join the team. I am feeling a lot better overall now and I think I will show a lot as a player.

Did you ever regret becoming a Progamer in StarCraft 2?

ClouD: No. For me this is an important life experience and I try to get the most out of it. I don't expect to be doing this for a very long time and I'm just enjoying myself competing, visiting a lot of places and having the chance to meet people and understand different cultures. It's the kind of experience that makes you change and grow as a person, I would never trade this for anything else.

Cool read.
And Cloud posting that thread on Tl is the best thing to have happened to
e-sports in a long time.
You could practically see sponsors and tournament organizers scurrying around trying to pay people hours after that thread went down.

he's so right about the fact that several companies dont care about paying the players, which makes me sad for E Sports in general....
