Old MYM New MYM (8509 reads, 49 replies, 8 months ago)
Hi,

I never posted anything here, but the current situation in the rankings are problematic.
The new MYM shouldn't inherit anything imho from the old one's stats, and you should post a link to old mym page, like u did with nirvana.int if I recall correctly.
Hope you find this a valid argument.
Best wishes for the best dota site

I wondered the same, but players are exchangable, while the history and success is forever bound to the Team Name.
Who cares anyway about rankings on gg.net ? Yet alone the difference in the amount of ranked games for EU/Asian teams.
Teams vanish, new teams appear, ranking stats follow the majority of where the players go and so on. Just useless - no offense!

First of all, I think this is in the wrong forum.
On the other hand, the organization holds the place of the ranking.
Not its players.
So old players leaving doesn't change the ranking.
You'll miss me when I'm gone.

MYM (OLD) was the phenomenal team. no team was able to stop them even navi. so lets just see how the new mym could make the team remain on its high position :)

Being a follower of MYM since the beginning, I must admit, Maelk and his fellow teammates have left behind a legacy that no one can ever beat. They have came up with so many combos and so much synergy between unexpected heroes that they have made MYM famous. The first thing you think of when you hear "MYM" is definitely the old team.

With that said, the new team is under a lot of pressure, both from the organization head, all the current professional DotA teams AND the public. They're missing out on tournaments like WDC because they are still training as a team. While they probably won't be able to form the legacy that Maelk and his crew left behind, they are strong and determined, and also a force to be reckoned with. So I say, give them a chance to prove themselves. It's not easy playing under the name of (probably) the most famous DotA team.

And a final shoutout to YamateH, ex-member of my most favourite team ever, KingSurf.
