Edit: I Only play 2v2.

In 2v2, I have noticed that I play a ton of Zergs who make nothing but a mass of Hydralisks off one base. I play Protoss. How should I counter this? I had success by staying inside my base turtling and then cannon expanding. However, it absolutely seems when 100 hydralisks come charging Dragoons, Speed Zlots, and Cannons get overwhelmed.. What should I do? Either tech HT or try to win off macro while he probably won't expand and stay on one base? (Seems like the next obstacle to getting better.) Thanks in advance.

Edit: Maybe DT expand to win off macro :)???

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
either 2 base cannon expand, then tech to ht or go corsair shuttle reaver but that's harder
or go 1 base 2 gateway rush then expand like usual in 2v2, don't one base cannon up, that's the noobiest thing ever!

um... actually 2 base cannon tech is actually for 1v1, i don't think it'll work in 2v2 cause z can just mass zergling you with his partner

just go 1 base 2 gateway. don't cannon up, forget cannons, then get ht if you can. the thing is, with you and your partner going 1 base 2 gateway, it'll largely determine the game from there, you won't even get to the ht tech stage. if zerg 1 base hydras you, then it'll fail to 2 gateway

what, at least one cannon on your ramp is essential against massling or zealots or mm, however, scouting would ofc help alot.
Usually 10gate, 12forge and then 2nd pylon near ramp and make a cannon as soon as forge and pylon are finished and makes about 3 zealots, while ofc teching for templar's archieve and getting up to three gates, for HT+storm vs hyds or archons+cannons in your mineral line vs mutas/lings and maybe some DT's for harrass. Then get your expansion and 6-7 gates, that's when P becomes really strong in 2v2, since Z usually needs one more expansion than P in 1v1, and in 2v2 it's harder to get the 3rd for the Z, hence it's easier for a P to do dmg while on 2bases and then with storm and archons and speedzealots (goons depending on if he goes mutas or lurks or a terran opponent is also there who goes mech).

rofl. with 1 base you can.. hmmm.. make hydras from... 2 hatch? 3 hatch? its quite equal to 3 rax m&m or 3 gate goon. or 2 gate zeal. or anything. 1 base hydras. LOL.
if you have zerg ally.. 1 base mutas >> 1 base hydras. nothing moar obvious.
whats your rank?

Mass hydra 2v2......are you plying money map?

If it's money map, I dont want to bother answering, since it will be long.

However, if it's like Python or LT, mass hydra is very weak vs protoss's reaver or HT.

Reaver + dragoon, or HT + zealot > mass hydra.

wtf of course its possible to 1base hydra in 2v2, what are u talking priest/enter_name?

but u didnt tell us anything about the matchup. it sound like zp vs zz to me. however, best counter is 2/3gate speedlots with psi storm, ur ally muta or whatever race he is.
