Bronze series needs to learn GG (3118 reads, 19 replies, 1 year ago)
Okay, yes i'm in Bronze series, overall i suck, but i occasionally play, and i usually lose, i say gg, maybe have a little chat, yknow being nice, but it seems every match i play that i win, 6/24 so far, not ONE as said GG, now i wanna know, when do you learn that GG is good manners, like seriously, if im going to be able to defeat you, i would atleast like to know you had fun playing agaist me.

What are your thoughts about people who dont say GG? do you care? let me know.

ps. If there is anyone who is interested in playing me/helping me let me know:)

i dont rly give a damn about getting a GG altho it definetly feels good if the opponent aknowledges a good game but whats worse is if u say gl hf and theres no respond. Then, i go 300 apm on their ass and rape them. :D

lol i usually dont respond to that, i think only like once or twice, i get in the zone XD but my zone is invaded, so i fail, had a super long game, couldnt even get into his base =\ i expanded (zerg) pretty much whole map, and he must have ran out of resources cause he attacked me in the end, but overall, i had every unti imaginable, but they all died, upgraded etc. oh well, i said gg, and he did say it back im like =/ thansk bud and left.

depends, if i feel i played good i'll say gg no matter i lose or not.
Otherwise i'll say it only if i win or only if i feel my opponent played so damn good he rolled me over and deserved a gg.

Also i tend to "gg :)" when i get to rape a cheeser :D

I usually do not say GG, cause 99% of games I play (high platinum) are just stupid all-ins or gayish camping. 1% games are quite entertaining and then I say GG no matter if i win or loose.
Overall, I had more will to say GG in Broodwar where I was sure, the game is balanced. SC2 pretty much sux in balance mechanicswise which is imo quite frustrating for zergs.

I dont care about ingame chat. The only 'bad' thing that can happen is the winner saying GG first. Really badmannered and fucking hate it...

I don't mind if my opponent doesn't say GG when losing. It's bad manner to say GG first when you're winning though, but other than that I don't really care. I mean, sure it's nice if they respond to GL HF etc but it's no big deal anyway.

i dont say gg in ladder games, only if it was a really really good game, i just leave.
its funny when people start nerd raging me after the game because i didnt say gg.. lol. sure it is gm when you say gg at the end of a game, but its not like you are bm if you dont

but i always say gg in tournament/league games, thats something completely different imo

I was just wondering if people in the higher series say GG, because overall, i pretty much imagine myself playing this person in a tournament so i auto say gg.to me in Bronze Cheese is big, so it comes to the point where, you have to counter it, and just overall win, i mean any zerg can 6pool, but to win midgame with hydras take skill.

I always gg but I dont always glhf. I gg at the end of any and every competitive game I play not just sc. Even if Im royally pissed about losing, the game was horribly one sided, or if they did something "cheap" to win. I do it just out of respect for the people Im playing with.

Every person out there whether I like them or not is apart of the same community as I am and obviously we share enjoyment for the same game so they are in a sence by brothers so I will treat them as such.

There is a very nice feeling you get when you receive a gg after winning. Especially when you dont expect it. Like for instance I was playing some street fighter 4 online at my brothers last week and the first game I played I got completely owned 3-0 by a guy. I was annoyed by how bad I played then I received a msg from the guy on the ps3 saying "gg" and it literally cheered me up. He went out of his way to find my brothers PS name to send a simple gg to someone he just dominated. I appreciated the comment so much I invited him to endless lobby(knowing I was going to lose) and we had alot of fun for about a good hour or so.

tl;dr = GG is the polite thing to do and you might even make a new gaming buddy.

I never get a GG, out of every match iv won, not one GG, which is fine, i just hate when they rage over it.

EDIT:

I finally got my First GG, and got an Achievement, Finally!
