I've noticed after the latest balance patch (since it benefits zerg mostly) in the GSL S2 more zergs are advancing to the round of 16... thinking FruitDealer will be definitely be getting a run for his show, moving on to the infamous SlayerS_BoxeR should he be taking this slight? but good show so far for us zerg players

Protoss is the race, which is imbalance while being underpowered!

MLG: Are you pleased with the way the patch is working out so far?

Idra: Yes, definitely. I believe ZvT is pretty close to balanced right now—it's actually going to seem Z>T for a while as bad Terrans disappear and the remaining ones have to adapt to a new style of play. ZvP is certainly much better, but I'm waiting for the matchup to settle into the new patch before making any real comment on it. My only real complaint is that they still haven't addressed ZvZ, but the matchup is slowly making progress on its own so patching might be unnecessary in the long run.

Am I the only one who is looking forward to the expansion so it can completely rewrite all matchups?

#6 Hey, we will see, expansion will be at the start of 2012, so there are a lot more balance patches to come... :)

But yes, as I wrote in that news section, I also noticed a lot of Zerg has come to the round 16. But I think that that is more cause of Fruit Dealer, that opened eyes for the Zerg players and showed them how Zerg is supposed to be played, than the latest patch, but of course, latest patch has the impact in this too.

Yep. Now it's Protoss time to shine in general. Although Fruitdealer will probably dominate this season of GSL again if the other players havnt increased alot in skill since Zerg is only getting better.
