Hi,
Im a noob in Starcraft, and I thought since I have time as I'm on a long break from studies, I would like to learn to play Starcraft, a game which is hard to master. However, ICCUP is like super hard, as I get wiped by even the D-. Is there anywhere else I could train...
Thx
As LML mentioned, there are channels for your purpose. Just take a look at the channels (Channel Button) in the left menue of StarCraft - the iCCup Training Program is listed as one of the first names.
Besides that: if you don't want to ladder anonymously try to make conversations with players that are around your level. When you like them, add them to your friendslist. (/f a nickname)
In that way you will generate a list of names that are a) around your level and b) pretty nice guys. That was how I found my first clan, and created some learning-friendly enviroment about 10 years ago. It's by far the easiest way to find people - just go out and do a bit more than the usual "gl & hf" stuff. If anything else fails: check the iccup forums, there are threads for people asking for other players. You will have to invest a few hours to find people, but you will find them, SCBW isn't dead yet, and I don't think it will crash the next year without warning. And don't listen to people that say "switch to SCII" or "do better stuff". Just play the game if it is fun for you, and quit if you don't like it. |
