Savior T_T Why? He was a legende and propably one of the best and most important players ever. I think he earned enough money as he was on the top and also as he was a "normal" pro. I just cant understant this.

Holy shiet!!! Talk about going insane of them cheating. I think it's nice, however this is a bit harsh. Young people getting a few k more is now getting sent to jail for years. In sweden rapist don't even get 2 years sometimes - yeah I know, fucked up broken system...

indeed holy shit

BUT! these are requested sentences. He hasn't actually received these yet

I cant even imagine Korean prisons...

I actually feel sorry for him. The guy is obviously a celebrity in Korea, what the hell is he going to do career-wise? What company is going to employ him? Perhaps I am totally mistaken but I don't think Korean society is that forgiving. His life is seriously fucked at the moment. If I was him I would leave the country. Go study abroad or something, if I could.

Not just Savior but all the others as well.

#6 ive studied korean studies on University for an half a year, so i've learned something about the korean culture and society. They are not a very forgiving society at all. Their biggest ideal is to work hard in studies and life.

so sad, i renember when i first saw savior destroying every terran player around, even tho i was a terran player, i couldnt hate him for his aggresive play, it was beautiful.

anyway, his life is probably fucked by now :(

#7 As part of my uni I studied a lot of asian business styles, culture etc but I am being cautious about my assumptions.

I think the 2 year sentence (or even 6 months to be honest) is essentially a life sentence in Korea. It's not like he can do his time and bounce back into society is it? There is a stigma far greater than western society. Having every single person in street recognise him doesnt help either... Not to mention his parents...

edit: I changed the title

well, nothing is impossible, but as you mentioned, there is a stigma far greater than the western society. if he gets sentenced, he will do his 18months sentence, but to bounce back in the korean society is much more difficult.
His gaming carreer is ruined, he probably wont get another shot in the progaming world in Korea.
i personally hope he wont get sentenced, if he get sentenced, his whole life will cripple apart :( 18months in prison will be long days for an progamer who used to use 8+ hours a day in front of the screen

now an funny idea: the prison should make an starcraft team as well xD

Fraud is fraud, no matter in what regard. As long as incent ppl lose money by betting on them, they deserve bad punishment.
