Hello, im new to playing starcraft online and ive played about 10 games against other people online. Ive won 2 and lost about 8. The two ive won were cause my teamates were really good too. I currently use the zerg but i dont really know what im doing. I could really use some tips on what to do. And is it possible to upload some replays of me sucking on the forums or no. If possible then i would appriciate the help thanks.

Learn build orders and basic strategies/counters. Replays are great for this. Use BWChart (google it), and load up some of these: http://www.gosugamers.net/starcraft/replays/

You have to understand some of basic starcraft language in case you wanna communicate with starcraft gamers in order to get some advices.

learn apm, micro and macro, harass, choke, contain, economy, natural expansion and timing. those will give you an look over modern starcraft :)

if you wanna get extra information on everything use liquipedia sites, you can always find there some basics about some builds etc, then you surely can discuss those here, we will be always looking forward to some theory talking ;p

thanks, im an ex- age of empires player so im familiar with the rts lingo for the most part. The BO ive been using recently is 9/9 drones then i do extractor trick for 10/9. once thats done i wait for 200 min and build a pool and then an extractor. the next 100 is used for an OL and then i swtich 3 drones to gas once extractor is done. then i upgrade ling speed from the pool. wen pool finishes i spawn 6 lings and use them to rush/ scout. if the rush is working even a little ill spawn more lings and send them over. if not then i make more drones turn them into sunken colonies and then work on eco. this gets me through early game for the most part everytime but once that is done with i start to fall behind the other players... alot. like i know that evry game is different and thus u cant depend on a few strats to win cause no two scenarios are the same, but i have no structure or foundation at all. i usually try to go with a spire asap and pump about 3-6 mut and harrass the enemies eco but if they have air defense preventing me from entering then i find myself out of alot of gas and minerals. i usually spam lings and hydraslisks and just send them in mass but onlin players easily defeat that. also i feel as if guardians are a waste because they get killed easily and devourers kinda suck for defense.... any tips on what to do mid-late game?

pdguitarist--your best bet is to go to the "replays" section of this site and watch about 100 replays of zerg. At the same time, go to http://www.teamliquid.net and search for strategy guides. Read up at http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft/Main_Page to get explanations for the various strategies that you observe in the game (i.e. what a 2-hatch build is, how to stack mutas, why you shouldn't go lurker if terran is doing a mech build, what a mech build is, etc.

If you really want to improve, go to http://www.iccup.com and join there--set up your BW to play on the iccup servers, and you'll be playing good maps and good players. The level of skill is far, far greater on there than on regular battle.net, however, so you might want to accustom yourself to the game first, otherwise you may get a bit discouraged.
