Why the SC2 matches weren't broadcasted (13566 reads, 40 replies, 1 year ago)
Before I start let us all say "FUCK KESPA!"

The SC2 matches between Nada and Moon and I believe it was Nal_ra and JoyO were not broadcasted because Kespa didn't want the starcraft progamers to play in the exhibition matches. This was mentioned by tasteless and artosis if some of you were watching the cast last night.

Now first of who the fuck is Kespa to tell blizzard and these progamers what to do. Why is there even a need for such a corrupted and control freak organization. Let us all remind them that it was blizzard that made starcraft not kespa. They should let blizzard do whatever they want with these progamers because guess what they don't control people lives.

I have not been a fan of kespa since day 1. I remember watching the days when Nal_ra could pause the game and blow his nose in a live game and everyone would just laugh it off. Now if you miss even a single character when pausing, you get disqualified. If you pause because of a problem you get a warning. What the hell is going on? I sincerely hope that kespa does not even lay their hands on Starcraft 2. GO blizzard take over the Korean esports scene and rid this corrupted organization of their power.

What...

Kespa's getting more retarded throughout the years but this is more than ultra-retarded. This is a completely new level of retardedness.
I'm reading your mind. Think of something.

Yeah what I meant was the matches were not broadcasted to us and according to tasteless and artosis there were other progamers like Upmagic that was scheduled to be there but Kespa did not allow them.

I don't know how much control Kespa has over these teams but I think its too much for them to not even allow a few exhibition matches. They are forgetting that blizzard is gonna control everything in starcraft 2 so they better be nice!

:\, grow up.

Not everyone everywhere gets to do whatever they want. Not everywhere is America, and it's their league and they can tell a foreign company what they can and can't do in their league.

And besides it is different cultures and in different cultures have different manners and customs that might not necessarily make sense to you and I, but to them it is a big deal. Don't get all mad just because something doesn't go the way you want it too. America is becoming a place where people have grown accustomed to doing whatever they feel like, and if anyone tries to tell them not too, they get upset and sue. Honestly you are lucky that you can come on to this forum and post about it, some places don't even get that luxury for the fear that their government will find out and come and kill them.

I know it may be hard for you to understand, but realize that it is their league, and in their league they can do whatever they want. When a football player or a basketball player here, punches a ref or rapes a women on national television, they get fined. In korea they hold the same high standard for a reason. If they feel like something isn't going the way they want it too, they shut it down and create a really high level of professionalism.

Stop getting mad at the one country that is keeping starcraft a big deal. If it weren't for kespa a lot of people would have moved onto something else by now, and you wouldn't have a reason to keep playing this game, because some shitty half rate foreigner would have got good by now and no one would care.

If it wasn't for their culture, starcraft wouldn't be what it is.

Stupidity is not part of any culture I've come across so far.

America is becoming a place where people have grown accustomed to doing whatever they feel like

Notice my Swedish rage.

Honestly you are lucky that you can come on to this forum and post about it, some places don't even get that luxury for the fear that their government will find out and come and kill them.

That's an apropriate comparison. Yes being killed by your government for posting on the internet and kespa bitching around again are exactly the same thing.

When a football player or a basketball player here, punches a ref or rapes a women on national television, they get fined. In korea they hold the same high standard for a reason.

Nobody has punched anyone. Nobody has broken any rules. They just made sure we could not enjoy our SC2 games.

If they feel like something isn't going the way they want it too, they shut it down and create a really high level of professionalism.

Kespa has not really been known for their professionalism. And no, not even in countries that are not the free American, can you just shut something down because you don't like it. There are rules and paperwork and blabla there too.

Stop getting mad at the one country that is keeping starcraft a big deal.

Nobody is getting mad at S. Korea.

If it weren't for kespa a lot of people would have moved onto something else by now, and you wouldn't have a reason to keep playing this game, because some shitty half rate foreigner would have got good by now and no one would care.

No matter how good kespa has been, that does not excuse stupidity or save them from critisism when they fuck people over. Again.

If it wasn't for their culture, starcraft wouldn't be what it is.

Nobody is blaming Korean culture, only kespa. Which is not the same thing. Which you seem to fail to understand. Even Koreans are pissed at kespa because the way they've been handling SC lately.

Simply put Supercrack doesn't know what he's talking about. It's not even Kespa's league. Either they don't look forward or they're afraid what will happen when SC2 comes out. Either way Kespa's decision making can actually be described as masochistic. They're a very short-sighted company.
I'm reading your mind. Think of something.

Supercrack no one is getting mad at korea. Im getting mad at Kespa. While its true things don't always go the way you want, a company like kespa who is trying to keep starcraft together should always try their best to make the fans happy.

Its like saying, hey the Superbowl is not gonna be broadcasted this year we should all just shut up about it and pretend nothing happened. Thats obviously not gonna happen because people would wanna show their protest the same way Im doing it right now.

Im actually not from the US, I only moved here a couple of years ago so I know that the hardships of other countries and I have experienced the goods and the bads.

I wrote this early in the morning, Korea = Kespa about 99% of the time.

Kespa runs the league, and like in baseball, if they pros don't like it they go on strike.

So if it is really that bad, they should go on strike.

Also thank you Lord of chaos for personally picking apart my entire comment I wrote, I feel loved <3

When I said shut down in my comment, I meant eliminate the bad behavior. There is no reason to shut it down if it is making money, that isn't the goal of the business.

I'm looking at it from a big scheme of things, and I guess I was trying to look at both sides. If kespa isn't making good decisions, stop watching they events they put on, go watch another league, hell put forth effort to improve the rest of the worlds esports scene!

XATM08G - If I seemed like I was trying to beat you up, I wasn't trying. I played IRL sports and people used to bitch about real rules, sometimes they aren't fair, but those are the rules.

And it's supercrEck, not supercrack.

Korea is not Kespa and Kespa is certainly not korea. Look at the warcraft 3 pros for example. They are not controlled by Kespa and they are allowed to pretty much do whatever they want. I don't think the solution for a problem like this is to just not watch their events. Its like saying the price of gas has increased so Im not gonna drive a car. Thats kinda impossible. Im just voicing my opinions here hopefully some of those kespa retards here this. I really hope when starcraft 2 comes out blizzard or esl will take over and make the korean scene much better.

I know, but ultimately it's a business,

You don't watch, their ratings go down,
their ratings go down they make less money
They make less money they go outta business
They go outta business, another company can move in and actually listen to people.

It works in theory. I really do understand what you are saying, not all companies listen to the people that make them popular (aka square enix) and they will eventually reap what they sue.
