GG.net hacker policy (9401 reads, 92 replies, 2 years ago)
GG.net's hacker policy is such that, 1st offense = 1 year ban, and 2nd offense = lifeban from the rankings.

TT1 is banned from the rankings. eXecutor (now playing under LG)Robertito) is NOT banned from the rankings. Both have been caught multiple times for hacking.

This makes 0 sense, and Synergis is too stubborn to admit either a) he has some kind of grudge against TT1, or b) he's just incompetent and made a mistake and doesn't want to admit it.

eXecutor: Below are a list of some of his accounts:
http://www.wgtour.com/member.php?datab=broodwar&id=94199

http://www.wgtour.com/member.php?datab=broodwar&id=74124
RyM - banned in 2005 "Reset + Lifeban for several abuse; Aka: eXeCuToR[0rk0]"

http://www.wgtour.com/member.php?datab=broodwar&id=34889
IntoTheCannon - another aka of eXe

http://www.wgtour.com/member.php?datab=broodwar&id=152084
okgg - aka of eXe banned in 2004 for maphack

http://www.wgtour.com/member.php?datab=broodwar&id=7431
LG)Robertito - banned in 2008 for hacking

He was 'lifebanned' 3x at WGT. Twice for hacking, and another time for repeated abuse. He was also banned another time for 6 months for cheating in NW's. He has over 10 banned accounts at WGT because he continually tried to evade his ban.

TT1 , was banned in 2004 and 2008 for hacking (same as eXe), and yet one is unbanned from the ranking now, and the other is not. Does this make sense? Obviously not.

So what do we conclude:

1) TT1 should be unbanned just like eXe, they've both been playing legitimately for quite awhile now and are basically unbanned everywhere at this point. Also, they were both caught numerous times, however the first time they were caught was several years ago (before GG.net ranking even existed).

2) eXe should be re-banned from the ranking.

If you have the exact same situation, but two different treatments, then obviously something is wrong here. Synergis is just too stubborn to actually admit that he's biased and just flat out wrong, and I'm tired of trying to PM admins and solve this situation in a mannered way.

I don't know how much I have to complain about the admins to actually get changes made, but I guess I'll keep fighting. This ranking is the only official ranking we have for Starcraft of its kind, so it's too precious to be fucked up by bad admins.

There's your evidence Synergis. Gl.

Wow, this hole thread is so logic that you cant even misjudge it by saying "woops, i did something wrong, sorry xeris" .

Anyways i agree totally, either ban eXeCuToR aka LG)Robertito or just unban TT1 aka ArChon]eX[ in the rankings.

Harder than that cant it be, so im backing u up on this xeris since you're tired of messaging the admins and went to the forums with it, which means u want this solved instead of leaving it.

And ya i think i agree a little with #1 too.

I don't care if he stays banned here as long as the same treatment is given to everyone. It's very simple. I have nothing against eXe, but he shouldn't be getting special treatment at GG.net, because he's clearly been banned multiple times and yet he's allowed to be unbanned from the rankings.

Alright I guess I will be the first to point out that you stated " you have the exact same situation, but two different treatments, then obviously something is wrong here."

and JUST before that you said that they should have completely different punishments.

What are you talking about? I was laying out two possible solutions... 1) OR 2).Either TT1 is unbanned, or eXe should be banned. I didn't think it was that difficult to grasp...

i think u should unban tt1 from ggnet ranking

he obviously doesnt hack anymore and its pretty hard to hack in general nowadays so why should we shut out big names like him?

but at the same time i have no respect for ppl who been hacking multitude of times but i still like seeing them around (lastshadow is my super best friend lol ^^)

Consistency is probably the most important thing when dealing with hackers.

Either ban them all or ban none.

I'm more for the first but w/e.

Nothing is more discouraging than unappreciated sarcasm.

As I said, I don't care really if they're all banned... I mean I'd like to see TT1 up there because he's in great shape right now and I think he's a top player, but I understand that what he did in the past will affect his future, but I'm against some players getting treated differently.

unban TT1 from the rankings and call it a night

I think Xeris is 100% right here, evidence proves everything. GL

If this gets out of line, just ban Executor (such a stupid hacking trash).
You dont beat me, I decide to lose.

I heard admins held grudge against TT1 because of his aggressive and sometime bad manners.

Where as Executor is rather polite and admit his wrong doings and apologized. On the other hand TT1 was constantly denied hacking until solid evidence was proved many times.

But since he himself doesn't care, it should be alright to continue what has been doing.
