Well in my case Michael Jackson was the first music artist I ever listened to as a child and my early teens (late 80s to early 90s). I listened to cassettes on some prehistoric walkman :D All my friends were pretty hyped about him too and we watched videoclips at parties etc. Good times.

So yeah he was influencial for me and will be greatly missed. I never believed for one second that he molested a child. Sure he was a very eccentric man and developed into a very odd character for the general publics' tastes. But I find disgusting how people in general give the pedophile label so easily. Open your fucking mind and realise that we are not all the same. Jackson once said in an interview that he is Peter Pan in his heart. I believe him. He actually wanted to be a child. What is wrong about that?

well i dont mind if he even gets a Budhist funeral. All religions are the same to me...

But from I hear on the news, he is getting buried in a gold plated coffin worth $25,000. So I'm guessing it's not a traditional muslim funeral :P MJ was actually a Jehova's witness, though obviously that is strictly a technicality since his life doesnt really reflect that!

I'm expecting an ultra-pumped-Publics-Relations-focused funeral... Not Muslim, not Christian (which he wasnt), not Jehovas' witness but something inbetween to please the general public...

well he is a musician after all and one may argue that his personality/beliefs/honesty isn't relevant. probably he should be remembered with his music which sucks goat nuts.

i'm sad that he died since we are being spammed with the cheap a$$ music and his awful looks even more than usual. but then again, the world is a better place.

I asked that out of interest. Guess what, I dont believe in christianity, (altough technically I am a christian). So I wasnt offended there if thats your reasoning behind accusing me of hypocricy. I thought you actually meant that Christian funerals make you puke and was interested to hear why. If you said that Hindu funerals make you sick I would still ask the same question. Simple. I wasnt hypocritical or anything like that. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
