terran is imbalanced. (825 reads, 32 replies)
on iccup, i have 30 losses to terran and 9 wins vs protoss and 17 wins vs zerg.
i have yet to beat terran.

2 factory noob rush is impossible to stop. 8 zealots, 8 goons from 4 gate <2 factory noob rush. ive lost about half my games because of that.

terran goes 1 factory fast expo, i go 1 gate goon and 2 expos. i still lose even after having 7 minerals left from macroing off 3 bases.

when they dont push too fast i go for reaver harass. turrets all over mineral line and any sort of entrance to their base. i lose.

ideas on how to fix imbalance;

dont let terran wall
dont let terran buildings float
half both damage and range of seige tanks.
half both speed and dmg for vultures
and give vultures 1 mine each.

no joke, i think the pvt games will now me around even.

and if someone can tell me how to survive early game protoss vs terran, preferably how to counter the 2 factory noob rush, that being without you seeing it.

for now, all 17 of my friends, on my friends list all quite, they were both protoss and zerg, no terran, and they quite because of the imbalance. im the last one left 0_0 and im going to quite aswell because this game is miserably balanced even after almost 15 years since it was released.

The game is not imba, the races are not imba, all 3 races are of equal pros and cons. Just because you lose mostly to terrans doesn't mean it's imba, logically speaking, you just need more help on that field of subject.

For example, remember back when you were in 4th grade, you probably thought double digit multiplications were impossible . That doesn't mean mathematics is the son of the devil, it just means you need more experience and knowledge in that subject..

As for your problems.

Why are you doing dual expo that early? Yes, terran fe'd, but that should be a no prob. Even with a fe of your own, decent goon/lot micro should decimate the puny tank/vult/rine army. Another great way to counter terran fe is by scouting it early, then going aggressive goons into shuttle+reaver tech.

We help people who needs and wants the help. We tend to ignore whiners like you, no offense. If you're having trouble in PvT, most logical way of thinking is to politely ask what you're doing wrong, post a rep, and request the help and advice you obviously need. Losing to one race many times then coming here to whine and justify your pitiful loss's just marks you as a sore loser.

Lastly, if T is so imba in a TvP, how come my PvT win ratio is nearly 90%? How is it that most pro Protoss players' best mu is...you guessed it, PvT? If you're one of the few that has trouble in it, yet whines about it saying it's imba, you. just. plain. suck. I suggest you make a new thread that includes what you SHOULD've wrote.

It may seem imba cause korean terrans at iccup are fucking insane.
2fact rush is beaten by 2gate goon obs or 3gate goon + some cool dragoon micro.
If you think 2fact rush is such easy noobstuff, you should try it vs a semi-ok protoss.

Fast dt's rapes most rushes unless its a pure 2-fac vulture with speed and mines. Just micro to pick of the mines/vults and he will be forced to retreat

I think a well-timed and well managed MnM 2rax rush > 2gate obs. Especially if Terran has some firebats with him, even a good amount of goons and even goon micro won't be able to do much against such an overwhelming firepower.

2gate obs can take on almost any terran rush, but against mnm, I feel 1gate core into robo (for reaver tech) is the best. Reavers > MnM, and if you spot 2rax early enough and manage to get shuttle reaver early enough, you can pick off some pesky firebats with shuttle+reaver micro while T is advancing.

topturkey your game play is imba sc has near perfect balance although not 100% like what korean said post a rep and nicely ask us what you did wrong,
just that normally or almost everyone who post topics like this are newbies who complains a lot because they get their ass f%^ked nice and clean, no offense man but you sounded pretty pathetic there, well all help you out if you make a nice good help topic bro

to #0 tvp is way harder than pvt at equal level imo(i play terran and protoss).
to ur "i lose vs 2 factrory noob rush " #8 is correct 2 gate obs>>that terran rush and almost all terran rushes. -_-;;

crap, sorry guys i was really mad, it was a very bad day and i wasnt feeling good at all, i had a headache like hell, i took a nap for a few hours and apologize. we all know how we can lose our minds when nothijng is going well.

and to the subject. 2 factory noob rush (i call noob rushes any sort of rush, i just like the phrase noob rush, ei. 2 gate proxy, 5 pool, 2 hatch hydra rush, things like that) is a hard ass thing to counter. terran hvae 4 vultures with mines, and about 4 seige tanks with 5 rines. can i get the actual build for the 2 gate that counter any sort of terran rushes. if they fast expo and i do the build, i think im safe containing him and expoing once or twice myself.

and awkward dream that lastest like 3 seconds even as a dream, said i need reavers. (the actual dream was that of a reaver shooting and me waking up realizing vs fast expo a reaver seem good choice, if it fails, ill still be annoying.

and about the terran building lift thing, i think its unfair that the terran can safely expand in their own base and lift up the command center when its ready, defending 1 base the whole time where protoss and zerg have to defend the nexus/hatchery while its being warped/muted in.

anyways, sorry again, i was just in a bad mood because my head hurt too much to even walk strieght, im in some sort of slump, i used to be C+ rank at one point on iccup on another account, and now i suck so much im D-. and finally i hardley get any sleep every since grade 9 started for me. i have to wake up at 6;30 to get to bus and school and what not, so for the last 2 days ive had 6 hours of sleep each night.

if i can get the 2 gate obs build that lets me expo right after and possibly do some reaver harass.

i hope i didnt ruin my reputation just because i was in a bad mood for a bit
