here in this vid at the end the player clicks on a factory and I was surprised to see what looked like a Thor Icon (the third one)
is it me or is that really a Thor ?? I thought it was supposed to be built by an SCV outside of the fact like a building

I'm not sure if it's the Thor icon, it could also be the Viking.
Anyway, it makes a bit of sense for the Thor to be built in the factory. They want to make it a counter to air units, so it should be able to quickly be produced en masse in your factories.

the game looks awesome through the video

and sounds logical to have the thor in the factory , as it would sounds logical to have it in a brand new building

it's me or the colossus are very weak? only one tank and the turret of command center take it down? A unit said powerful? He have more counters than all units in the game, I WANT THE REAVER BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The siege tank are veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery strong.................. I don't see any balance in this... Your range has incrased... lokk at this, the protoss are the most tried to balance, the zerg and terran are the same, only good thing happens to them. I want see the balance in this game, i onlu see balance in the protoss, weak and expansive units. There are no balance in this. This is my point.

somebady has assisted the 3 video? somebody see the range of fire of the marauder? where balance in this? zealots are not match for him in this circunstances... Starcraft2 = junk

I don't think you are qualified to whine about balance issues. Let them finish the game, then play it yourself for some time, then maybe you can start talking about balance.

1 you don't know what happened to that colossus before it got to the base maybe it was harassed :P
2 I actually thought it took down quite a few things before it was shot down
3 The colossus has many counters and could be weak but it DOES SERVE A STRATEGICAL purpose ! The Dark Templar from SC1 is also very weak and it's even melee attacker - that sounds stupid right ? but it has a specific purpose and has it's own pro - the cloak - to make up for the cons...
4 DUDE IT IS STUPID to whine about balance in a game that has most of it's units yet to be changed/announced and balanced ... the fact that we have a playable (both multiplayer and vs computer) game DOES NOT SAY ANYTHING definetively about the product we are going to get in the end ...
the only things we can whine about now is lore / graphics and some unit traits !

THE THOR BUILT IN A FACTORY ... fuck that the whole idea of the Thor is it should be built outside ... that was part of the unit's uniqueness if a Thor is a Thor like the one they announced it should be built outside of the factory or I guess by another building :)
that's just imo

guys, i'm sorry for my fault. but, i'm very unhappy with this game. i know Dont whine on the balance until i played the game, but see the protoss so weak is painful to me. i fear, protoss in starcraft 2 are very easy to destroy. Sorry for my faults, but this is my point.

I don't see how a big and slow unit can be a counter to air. Marines Goliaths Archon have trouble keeping up with muta's and carriers. Lets make Anti-Aitr even less mobile. Genius. I heard the Thor gets a Valkyrie type of attack.

There are roughly two devisions of anti air.

Mbility:
Landbased and Air

Weapons best against:
Heavy (anti capital ship armor) and light (anti raider unarmoured typically fast)

Examples Heavy airunits: BC Carrier Guardian

A late tech Landbased slow and big anti light airunits is a very bad designconcept.

protoss is the most strong according to devs team in blizzcast #3. you see them weak cause is the damm comp who is playing and besides you are only seeing it, you havent even played , you cant judge on looks cause then you are lying yourself. god i hate prejudging people even thou its just your opinion, i exort you to play it first instead of whining.

you mean to tell me that it is perfectly logical and acceptable for that the Thor which is basically the size of a factory to be built INSIDE of it ? It is perfectly cool to have a unit that is about as big as the factory pop out of that small exit ... or what is the factory gonna open up like a nuclear silo to let it out ??? red alert 2 style ftw :D

Yup, that seems to be a Thor. Btw, when did they change the colossus attack? Either this an old video, or they kicked out the "43941 lasers soothing to each target in range" animation. I prefer the way it attacks in this vid :] .

why would you want to make them harder to proxy ...
Thors are slow you would want to drag it across a map EVERY time ?!?
also proxy with the Thor being built from an SCV would compliment some new strats for terran and add a twist to the game :P

and about the 10 scvs thing - they are only equal to ten Thors IF you have the resource and time to build them :P
it's the same with any big unit even if they are not built by a worker but from the production building ... same reason why people don't build 10 stargates and have ten carriers poping out ...

Is it even possible to just balance 1 race out of 3? Balanced compared to WHAT? I mean euh... you're weird man.
