Are you guys sure that wc3 progaming is more popular than sc outside of korea?

im not sure but it might just be that wc3 players outside of korea have a much better chance to make a name for themselves and win tournaments, etc so it might seem like the game is more popular outside of korea than the completely korean dominated game, sc.

seriously i feel like sc is still much more popular outside korea and has a much larger community than wc3

CHina has big scene for every games & sports you want , like for basketball
450 000 000 watch NBA game , more than USA ... and there are 300 000 000 licensed basketball players

But I guess WC3 is popular everywhere , and though dota is growing up killing the skilled players , 1on1 is going very well and Team and clan.
A good way to see if a game is popular is to look @ major teams like SK mymy fnatic etc... what squad they do have

It's kinda funny that many of the world's best WC3 players are from Korea, seeing as SC is alot bigger there.

Worldwide I'd say WarCraft is the more popular game, although I haven't really researched it. There's just so many high-profile events with big cash prizes for WC3 and the pros are not just Korean, like in SC, but from other countries as well.

dota more popular but not wc3 for competitive gaming

team games are more popular that 1v1 games now for competitive gaming, that is the trend, that is one reason why almost no more 1v1 FPS in leagues other than the legendary q3.

During WCG finals in Poland, spectators were told when to clap with hands when w3 was showed on big screen, sc didn't need such things and crowd was also larger
