Need help PvT vs very good terrans (367 reads, 4 replies)
whats a safe build vs 2 fact that has a good compromise between units/ observer tech and expo that wouldn't leave me too far behind even if the terran fast expands?

in the case of vs fast expand is it a viable strategy to not expand myself and just pump goon + zealot shuttles and try to break their expansion? whats a good build order for this?

whats a good way to stop a fast expo --> 5/6 fact timing rush terrans if i want to triple nex?
Please go into detail about each way, such as

Pure goon+ leg upped zealot and how many gates i should have

Or reaver harass and delay (again how many gates i should have pumping zealots and goons and whether i should upgrade leg fast)

Or 1 or more zealot filled shuttles and goons (and again how many gates)
and etc..
tell me what is the best in your opinion to stop a strong timing rush (im htinking of like 8 tanks + 20 vultures kind early attacks

also, when i do use reavers, he has a good turret defense so i cant do much damage and sometimes can't even enter his base because of the turrets all around. Is it smart to still use reaver to try to slow down the terran units as they come out for the rush?

best way is just to go straight goons
from 2 gates
with range going up

keep pumping until u see what he is doing 2 fact or gundam push or cc

if u see that
you go exp if possible
and go robo+obs
and get adun for the speed
also make a shuttle
to make some zeal bombs

and place your goons outside his base to slow his push down
if he pushes*

2 gate goons, expo, obs. if you see him actually make 2 facts, and upgrade stuff, don't stop goons. if you suspect (or see) that he is actually expanding, then you can cut goons after your 3rd one to expand, then start your goons again.

vs good players i usually make many observers (3-4) and adapt to them, but as i usually loss i don't recommend this.

For the 'FE Break' the Build order is like this:

8pylon
11gate(can be 10)
11gas
14core
15pylon
Goon
Range
Goon
Pylon @ 21
Robo
Gate
Goon
Goon
Pylon @ 29
Shuttle
Zeal
Zeal
Zeal
Zeal

The attack is 4goons / shuttle of 4 zeals. w/ 2dragoons coming to reinforce.
To see a rep of this, search for Sea.FinePix vs Tempest)Is( on Luna.

For your second question about stopping the 5/6fact timing push T's with going 3nexus, the answer is to stop probes.
Stop probes, jump to 11gateways, acquire a good deal of speedlots / 1-2 shuttles and stall with the shuttle bombs, meet them at their natural and delay all the way back to your choke before you engage.

Attack w/ goons when they unsiege, and then pull back when they siege and move in the shuttle w/ zeals and try to get a bomb or two(unless they have gols).

Otherwise, 2base Power Toss w/ Reaver works beautiful, and DT Delay works well if the T instant scanned off his 2 scanners leaving him w/ only 2-3 scans off his push.

EDIT: The question about the reaver, unless you have Two Reavers and a good army ready to engage the Terran w/ an additional shuttle of zeals, then DO NOT use the reavers for attacking vults/tanks, instead distract his attention as his eco, since its normally relatively low scv if they 6fact.
Even 5 really relies on the push, being distracted even 30seconds can kill the entire push.
