How can I get a lot of Clan Wars? (288 reads, 18 replies)
I know this is going to sound like a really stupid thread. An most people are gunna think if you can't get your team clan wars, then don't manage a team. Well to you all, I say no sense posting, cause I don't care to hear it.

Like, the clan is a decent clan. Lotus Emblem [LeM] if anyone has seen the tag floating around iccup. Yet, no matter where I message or who I talk too, no one is willing to Clan War us but, [BDC]. An that's cause I'm friends with their leader...

We have some known players too, it's not like we are totally random people. I play for the clan, as well as EsX_rAptOr from here. FT.aCt)Sony and Mireille both play for my clan. Like I don't think we should have problems...

Can anyone please tell me if there is some secret to getting Clan Wars? Or if it has something to do with how we are presented? I would really really like to give my players some Clan Wars.

Thanks

Have you tried to make a thread about that in ICCup forums?

I don't blame you.

I tried arranging so many clan wars for Clan SCC back when I was motivated to get us playing again. The problem was that whenever you challenge a team on ICCup they never accept. The only way to get a good clan war going is if you talk to a team manager straight up. You gotta find them usually. Once in a while if you post call-outs on ICCup forum people will take you up on your offer, but it isn't very consistent. I just /f added people and got some clan wars rolling. Just gotta find the right people at the right place.

Well, I usually open that link: link
and start to challenge random clans. I used to have 1/3 success. :D

I've tried sending pm's to people on the iccup site but honest to God, most people don't even know you can get pm's there... So I guess the best way is to /f a a bunch of clan leaders and ask about, until something blooms?

Cause I'd really like to get Mireille and FT.aCt)Sony playing again in something worth playing their A games. Also it's a great way to motivate the rest of the clan cause I have an A team and B team.

I have an idea, why not ask iCCup to make a clan war channel? Kinda like the ranked channels, where clan managers can lurk for clan wars. Not a bad idea? Other than that I have no clue; though I'd like some clan wars.

Bro, I'm not badmouthing, I just have no idea who raptor is, Sony is in my west team (that I own) and hes inactive as hell because he's in the air force again, and Mirielle quit SC, if you say that to someone, you wont get a cw hence the "gl" ....

And just so I can relate to topic, CWing people is easy, find people with the same level skill as you. Talk to their leader, not just "hi I'm toxic, wanna CW?". Talk to them, befriend them shortly and say you're interested in CWing them, say this to several teams and accordingly who wants to CW you set up a time verse, its quite easy, and since people don't recognize your tag, say that regardless of that fact, that you guys are decent and want a fun CW no strings attached. Sorry for the run-on sentence from hell.

#9 Sorry for getting defensive. I've been dealing with bm kids all day on iccup and seeing as text has no tone, I just took it as being rude. I apologize for that. An yeah, rAptOr is a guy from gg.net I think he is/was on replay team. He comments a lot so I figured people might know, yeah Sony is back in air-force but he can usually make a day for a couple hours, for a CW. An Mirielle is playing with us, so he's come back to Starcraft. I don't think he plans on getting back into all the big stuff again, but he's playing. Stop by the channel for game some time. ;) op [LeM]

An yeah, I'm gunna go start making small talk. Seems to be the only way to get a CW. So that's what I'm gunna go do. Anyways sorry for the misunderstanding and thanks for the help.

I know this may make me sound like an idiot. Though, how do I enroll in leagues?

Goto the leagues sites, contact one of the admins, or the head admin, and they will put you down.

lol i only read a couple of replies here, but really, the best way to get cw's is by speaking with leaders, high up members, or even just normal members, to ask them to mention to the "boss" ^_^

i know i woulda never accepted a challenge on iccup unless the leader of the team spoke to me. i have alot of clan leaders and nation leaders on my msn contact list, and it helps being manner to people too.

btw, i also try to avoid having cw's with latinos, east/west teams, and teams i know nothing about. theres a little more work involved than just clicking a challenge button ;p

and maybe your team has a bad reputation, so nobody wants to cw with it, not saying thats the case, but i would do that too at uC.

Dont challenge teams via the icc challenge-feature. PM their trusted members and/or leader instead.
