My ZvP is my worst match up since I started to play Zerg. I think it's because of my lack of knowledge of how to play Zerg. ZvT is more simple and easier to understand. At my level ZvZ is a lot about luck.

This was game on Python me Z at 2, him P at 6.

He open with a one gate tech strategy while I 11 hatch in fear of his probe block, then 11 pool and 13 hatch.

He harrass with his first Zealot but he don't do too much damage. Then I send my Zerglings at his ramp to see when he leave his base. While I'm making drone I got surprise by how fast the first sair came because I'm not used to play agaisnt 1 gate tech. He manage to kill a lot of overlords and I'm slow down but he 1 gate so I still have enough units to stop his first attack but he slip a dt in my main and kill 2 drones then I finally kill his last sair and soon after I put and end to the life of his Dark Templar.

While multitasking my resources pile up a bit and I choose to expand at 12. Now he is expanding with cannons and he begin to mass gates and I try to do a lurker contain. There I think that I shouldn't have upgrade range before lurker aspect and that my spire was too fast and was in fact useless. I was also very annoye by his shuttle harras which I find very gay because he can storm before the sunk kill his templar so it's hard to defend. I think that I didn't macro well enough so he broke the lurker contain and then he just roll over me.

I love to get a strong economy but vs 1 gate or 2 gates maybe I shoudn't make that many drones?

This might be a not too much help but if he is not FE and starts with one gate i usually try to keep his scouting probe dead with like 6 speedlings and then i just make all lings from 2/3 hatcheries. Then you just a click his base and its usually GG cause he cant support enough units to fight your 3hatch lings.

It is a bit risky cause he might spot your lings or something so your job is to prevent him from scouting you with speedlings. Also i open up with overpool so this build gives me the option of doing this strat and it also counters all the shit that P players might do to grab a fast win like proxy gates or 2 gate rush or anything. I think its good when you play ladder games like ICCup or something where ppl do wierd stuff just to take the fast win.

Like for me, its kinda counter strat - he goes tech you go army.

But anyway, if u see him doing any wierd shit like going 1gate tech or something just put an ovie in his base just from the beggining and keep it there. I doubt he will make a goon to kill your ovie but even if he will it will slow him down a little, also it is worth to sac an ovie to see what is going on in his base and to know when to be prepared for sairs or w/e.

Im also not a keen fan of playing with spire but if u do, he cant just drop u with templars. Put scourges here and there on patrol (you can't even imagine how often they randomly kill a flying shuttle).

As for the rep, as i said u have to scout with the overlord cause the first ovie u send to 12 then u send it to 9 but when u know his base is at 6 just send the first ovie to center of his base EXPECIALLY when he is doing wierd shit or 1gate tech u put the 2nd ovie over the cliff. The game was basically he managed to slow u down very much and u didnt do anything to him the 2nd zeal that came into your base killed i think 2 or 3 drones so thats 100 mins (zeal) and 100/150 mins drones + u have less workers mining so its good for him. Then he killed your ovies slowing u much more so it was a matter of time for him to win. If you try to contain him tho you have to take down the obses with hydra or with scourges cause otherwise it wont work.

Yup, watch Best vs July OSL 2008finals 2set match for a good example of breaking a zlot ramp hold with drone drill.

Drone drilling might be more easy to do against 1gatetech'ers since they won't have a forge up yet, and every resources they got would be going to constant zlots and tech. Thus meaning your scouting ovvie can safely sneak into P's base and get a view of his minerals.

But protoss players are getting smarter with one gate tech, if they spot that the ovie finds them fast, they forge up and get 1-2 cannons at front stopping it :)

I think you should watch out what is he doing with your first ovie and then if he goes on fast corsair you can make an evolution and make a spore to defends your overlords, you also can suicide an ovie to his base a minutes later to see what is he doing...
