VGT vs SCD Ultimate Confrontation (480 reads, 32 replies)

Basically, VGT and SCD are too money map communities that have been around for years and are constantly flaming each other. VGT offers both a BW and SC league, while SCD only offers a SC league. So to make it fair, this showmatch between the 2 communities will be played on SC.

The format is as follows:
- 1v1 only (if successful, then a second confrontation may occur for 2v2).
- 5 players from each side.
- Round robin style.
- Bo3 each set.
- A total of 25 sets will be played.
- Up to 75 matches will be played.

The score will be settled.

lol most people that talk smack about fastest and aren't C+, get owned by the more hardcore fastest players in fmp games.

The only reason I don't play fastest is because fastest community has very high # hackers, atleast maphack. The best fastest players I play and get to know by 1v1ing them, when they want me to 2v2 with them they tell me race and location ^^.

FMP is so imbalanced the only reason why it seems balanced is because the number of spawn locations, so it takes longer to scout, especially for the common fastest player ^^, then they are so excited when they figure out people with higher success rate use hack, so they d/l it too, someone try do a 2 player fastest map with observer mode, and see how imbalanced the game mechanics are... Atleast with 1v1 FMP map with obs mode it would probably reduce the popularity for using hacks.

lol dont flame a guy for being right. fastest is and will always be a low level type of game. thats all there is to say. if you want an actual challenge play low money simple as that

hello, 'im making sense' are you? please, if you want to insult an entire community at least have the decency to back it up. i do agree that low money is challenging. i obviously disagree that fastest apperently takes no skill said by yourself #10. i thought by some chance all non money players were generaly good mannered people. you my friend change that opinion.

yeah # 9, that may be the case as to people that talk smack aren't even C+ but, that sounds like it may include you seeing as you know so much on the topic . :)

you know # 9 i used to think the same thing about top fastest players all being hackers. then i realized that when i got real good at it, i noticed that you just have natural timing, mechanics and know how. for example, if your zerg(fmp) and you scout your opponent making 2 extra nexus you automatically know you have 2 options:
A) you could make nothing but drones and mass hatcherys well you tech because normally protoss won't have drop (with storm/reaver) until at least 7-8 minutes into game (for those that dont know what i mean by drop with storm you have workers that all mine from one patch of stacked minerals and splash damage would kill your workers which would have at least 30 workers by this time).
B) you could just go for fast hydras normally off of a 3-5 hatchery build that could stomp most toss that double nex if you have good micro, multitasking ability and timing.

as i said in my post above, i could go on forever but like #8 said in response to: "Oh jesus... Fastest is the worst BW disease after hackers... Plz..." by #7, "No. Ignorant and closed minded people are." i think i made my point.

If it offends you I'd recommend not posting fastest updates on gg.net.. I mean every thread anyone posts about fastest gets flamed.. So, do you get the point yet? Anywho, Fastest does require less multitasking, timing, and skill in general. It has always been that way and it isn't going to change. Sitting in one base simply doesn't require as much skill and that is why it hasn't be integrated into the proleagues, obv. Either way, GL with w/e your doing I didn't even read the thread, just read the monster post above mine.

Actually I win most 1v1 Fastest games I bother to play, and yeah it takes like 3 games to warm up since I never play it, and the only people I lose to, obviously are hacking when I look at replay.

I'm just saying that there are hardcore fastest players that are good and people making naive comments like lol a million minerals, don't know what they are talking about, and should actually give some real reasons why FMP is bad at on a competitive level.

My reasons are imbalance and hacker-happy environment. There's a sane argument why fmp is terrible. But serious someone upload some fpvod fastest play, that is the only thing that is going to impress people, that aren't fastest fans, I'm serious.

fastest requires less mulitask, less macro ability (you have enough money to where u dont need to be a good macroer) , less micro ability ( u can replace units instantly cuz of huge income)

and most of all you live off your 1 base for the entire game and theres no need to expand, so contains wont do anything and etc.

low money on the other hand takes much more all around skill than fastest and all the low money players know this becasue it is hard going from fastest to low money since low money is so much harder than fastest its ridiclous.

low money players will never have respect for fastest players because it takes little skill to be the best at fastest.

fastest will never be anything to respect and will always be considered noob get over it #11

yes, of course it does. just because people make the illusion that all fmp players are hackers and what not doesn't mean we dont have build orders. as i explained in post #11 we have build orders to counter another just like low.

anyone who flames fastest makes little points about it and can't put up an intelligent arguement so far. your shits weak man. anyone could go with the stereo typing of fastest players.

what may seem noob to you might seem gosu to others. the point of gg.net is to infact be a warm community whichs brings me to a point. you individualy are a narrow minded asshole. you cant comprehend the fact that it does take skill to be good at fastest. 90% of people that play vgt/scd have skill. 20% are more then able to play low. 10% that do play low are actually gosu at both and are probably top at fmp.

you see # 17 + #14 i know it takes more skill to play low money compared to fmp.
it just takes more heart to have respect for both.
