I am chocked that the toss was not effected more than that after all the probe harrass... he came back with over 3k minerals xD And beat me anyway lol!
Yea I know I made Guardians, but they are kinda my signature whenever I feel I can make them.
I was thinking about complete air supremacy with devourers too, but that's so damn pesky to get versus cors.
Anyway have a look if you enjoy watching looser's games!
Ill take a look in just a bit man but I am just gonna say that I think that Guards are way too weak against P to do anything, I always tech to swarm and ultra. Anyway back in a few to let you know wht i think
Yea I realize it's way too difficult to make guardians usefull. Especially against 2-3 starports.
But only if the corsair threat could be nullified in some way... that would mean storms would have to take over. And honestly, it aint too hard to move the guardians out of storms. And then it would drain most storms from the toss to try and deal with them.
Impossible or hard, it's something I work on, and probably not THAT impossible on D level :)
fact is, using guardians as a primary hive tech unit is not an effective strategy. drop the idea of a "signature" unit and do what's the most effective.
P>Z on islands. That is because you can't just nullify the corsair threat and go mass guards.
And even with no cors, storms shred guardians apart. You want to use some other hive tech, imo preferably ultracrackling. But defilers works well too. Guardians are great as a support unit lategame, assuming P does not have a fleet of cors roaming around.
Basically you didnt take advantage enough of the fact that you delayed and damaged his income/economy. During the time you fought his probes you could have used the time more efficient to produce drones, tech and expand a third time (or with fourth hatchery). That allowed Protoss to eventually come back into the game. At one point you had about 500min.
Your scouting is quite weak. Try using your overlords/zerglings more to find out what your opponent is doing. You could need some work on micromanagement as well (letting that probe scout you for an example when you had speedlings nearby).
Nice probe harassment, though your muta micro needs a bit work. Dont try to challenge archons if youre not 100% its going to work.
Now I suppose there are some zerg who chooses to skip lurkers, and even hydralisks, but I really recommend starting to use em. You were about 15min into game and not a single lurker build. Against zealots and archons, lurkers are really good for contain and protecting important key positions, ex a ramp to an expansion.
You expanded to the southwest corner without producing a single drone. Did you forget about it? That expansion could have saved a lot of things for you.
Basically you overexaggerated yourself. The game turned against you when you did some bad decision makings early/midgame, due to the fact that Protoss was allowed to come back. Also, Ive seen guardians play a good role into late game, both vs Terran and Protoss, but mainly they are used to back up an army, or harass mineralfields. Guardians are very fragile and weak - archons and storms is quite enough to kill all of em. Thanks to their slow speed, a HT can really damage them. I suggest leave guardians out til you get the hang of ZvP a little better.
yea I will definitly leave out guardians for later when I know the time and place to use them.
The reason I did not make drones at south west was because I paniced when I saw his archon/zealot army being able to move out freely and fearlessly. Therefore I focused on building sunken to protect the expos instead... I know that ain't good and all and that probably one is enough. I'll work on that too

Do you think more events between the Korean pro-scene and the foreign community should be organized? (Example: Spirit Tournament, World-Wide Invitiational) (658 votes)
Yes, it will help both communities grow stronger!

Yes, but it will do very little for both communities or help only one of the two
