When I was at work today, just sitting in the chair doing nothing (I work in flooring at home depot). I was thinking, has anyone tried to use zeals and sairs in pvz? and I don't mean just plain old sairs. i mean, with d webs...since they z will have hydras...so instead of using gas on temps, you get mass sairs and mass zeals. sairs d web hydras so the zeals can get in close, and even if they cant attack, that prevents them from being hit from far away and makes them pwn the hydras... also if you are super good at getting more expos while pwning the zerg you could make dts, and drop them, and kill their base. another thing you could do, since you have like 12-20 sairs, is to just rape all zergs ovies, since you'll probably wanna get +1 and then just rape him with mass zeal waves, cause he's never gonna be able to make more ovies if you got 20 sairs with d web on him...
maybe it's been tried and doesn't work. but in theory, sounds like it'd work REALLY well....
the only problem is trying to hold of 3 hatch hydra, long enough to get that many sairs, and zeals...
cannonwhore anybody? |

#13, my bad, I thought he meant it like me ^^, as in using it like dark swarm thinking melee units won't be affected...=/
But yeah, nonetheless, it's hard to make it happen. Maybe against comp hydras that doesn't move around to dodge storm, dweb, etc. But a smart human zerg will easily exploit this and cause sairs to be worthless...=/
Try using sairs in mid-late game pvz's with dt's, bisu-style, or in pvt's against seige tank groups (dweb the tanks, and watch your goons slaughter the T). |

What about all in sair harass on his ovies, then just zeals to mop up rest?
He can't make lurkers or hydras or anything cause no food for units, and since you have so many sairs, the few spores he has won't do anything.
If you can't kill him, you can at least take over the map while he is on defense.

If you're mopping up ovvies all over the place with sair harasses, why go lots? Go with dt's. Destroying ovvies doesn't just destroy food supply for Z, it destroys their detecting ablities as well. Lots can still be taken care of if Z already had a massive army in first place, but the only way to counter dts with ovvies is spore colonies all over the place. In that case, with your sairs, dweb sunkens/hydras while dt's quickly destroy any spores in sight. Now they can't detect at all, gg no re. ;D Don't bother dwebbing spores, you want to destroy those, not disable'em.
EDIT: Oh btw, one question to anyone who has tried cors+reaver combo..are Reavers affected by dweb as well? In pro vods, I see pros dwebbing all over the place when they reaver drop, since hydras will be everywhere, and their last resort is going right up in the reavers' faces. Obviously, dweb also goes there until the entire screen turns into a silvery pool of silence (due to no attk ^^). But do reavers still get to fire their scarabs? Aren't scarabs counted as units of their own? (check bwchart, they're counted as units pretty much, they're not affected by Z's dark swarm since they're counted as suicide "melee" units, and logically thinking, they do have to be built with minerals like any other units). If reavers can't fire under their own sairs' dwebs...why do pros dweb on the reavers themselves besides wanting to avoid a head on fight? Then pretty much the whole reaver drop is off since even they can't shoot... |
