Okay guys, I've been playing the game for about 12 hours now, and while I still have many things to keep writing about, I figured I could just try and answer your questions on the fly here.

I'll start with a question on my own that I can answer.

Is the Medic in the game?
- Well, she exists in the Medical Dropship, which is a flying unit that can heal and pick up units. it was mainly made this way in this build so it would work together with Reapoer who otherwise wouldn't have any healing. Though Dustin Browder and the others didn't seem to sure about having this in the game. They have done a lot of experimenting with the medic, giving it different shapes - and it sounded on them like they would just settle for the original field medic in the end.

When playing Terran versus Protoss, the Archons felt very overpowered, but it was mostly because I really needed the Ghosts to EMP them, and is no really something you think of right away. Other than the Archons, the Mothership still feels a bit too much with its black hole. Three seconds, and then your units are gone.

The Zerg Roach was pretty tough to beat as well, with its high regeneration and fast speed. However, surrounding it and getting to get enough hits on it fast makes it easier to take it out. But the Roach makes a great choke defender since it regenerates so quickly. It felt a bit too strong.

To me it seems like the zerg have alot of updated attacks and units as well as alot of spells that seem really new and the protoss and terran get much less of these. Did it seem that way to you?

How is the micro "feeling" in 3D, compared to 2D SC1? For example can you still micro marine vs lurker in the same fashion and feeling?

And, Whats your point of view at micro in general for SC2?

- Well, looking at the Zerg Queen she has a lot of new spells that are very new, while the Infestor for example has many of the same type of spells like the Defiler has/had. However I could agree a bit, but the Terran did actually feel quite new as well. Apart from the Siege Tank, Marine, Battlecruiser and the Ghost much of it felt pretty new too. The Protoss however felt pretty much the same if you don't count in all the new "warp" stuff which I didn't use too much actually.

- The micromanagement definitely feels like it is the most important thing at the moment, micro/macro is a bit 65/35 at the moment. So yeah, you can micro the marine versus lurkers somewhat like it was in SC1. Dustin explained that the units actually react a lot faster now, in SC1 it was programmed that the units "checked" for new commands each half second, while in SC2 it checks a lot more often. This makes it tougher to "dance" when it comes to mutalisks, but with dancing marines versus lurkers makes it actually a bit easier.

cool!

i guess you were able to play all three races. do you feel any of them has a significant advantage over the others at the moment?

how much does the units' new mobility (reaper, colossus, warping, viking, nydus worm etc.) affect base layout and play style? much multitasking defending your bases?

regarding graphics - were you able to understand what's going on during large battles, or are there too many special effects?

now that you've seen the product, how long do you think they will take to release it?

- Do you had fun to play SC2?
- Is it a noob-friendly game ? ( easy to master )
- Did you test the game at the fastest speed? Is it fast enough like SC1?
Do the units animation are slow ( like WC3 ) ? Can you still hit and run ?

You are lucky :) i hope they will release an open beta... they did it for WC3 no?

Can you, please, steal the game and upload it on rapidshare asap?

Ok, just kidding, here's my question.

So black hole is back in game? I thought they removed it due its imbalance..? I'd love to have something like that in game, it's freaking cool ;)

a) I really would like to know how much memory does it use? (From control+alt+delete) I'm sure the game you play is at highest max settings but an indication would be good.

b) Zerg seem really vulnerable to zealot attack now that there are no sunken colonies. How can Zerg stop the zealots?

I would really like to here something about the Nomad and the current balance between Terran and Zerg since Zerg now has the Queen, Lair-tech Dark Swarm and a spreading Plague while the Terran has got nothing i can think of that counters this? (No bats, Irradiate, etc?).

And i would like to know how Marines are doing without early medics to heal and block incoming melee units.

Also please post a techtree for each race if you can rememer everything.

Thanks in advance :)

I know OvermindPL, but Terran doesnt get medics until way later then usual (Starport) so we cant really push vs Speedlings so from what I here the Zerg pretty much are outside the Terrans base when Swarm comes and then its over. Even if we had medics i still think it would be incredibly hard to defend against a Swarm push even without consume.

Also Terran havent got a single melee unit right?

- Not really, they actually felt pretty balanced in this build. Maybe the Zerg were a bit stronger, since they are the ones who are the newest and had the least development back and forth.

how much does the units' new mobility (reaper, colossus, warping, viking, nydus worm etc.) affect base layout and play style? much multitasking defending your bases?
- From what I've seen others play and myself, the base layout was pretty much alike the ones in SC1. It was hard to think totally new and not do like you were used to.

regarding graphics - were you able to understand what's going on during large battles, or are there too many special effects?
- I was afraid of that, since I have that problem in WarCraft 3, but in SC2 it's much more clean. So yeah, I was able to understand almost anything. Only trouble I had was that I couldn't recognize all the units as well as I would have should I have played the game more.

now that you've seen the product, how long do you think they will take to release it?
- considering they have been working on this since the releaseb of WarCraft 3, I'd say it could be everything from half a year to one year. It is still pre-alpha, they continue to say, but for a pre-alpha it looks very good.
