Short Question Thread (17216 reads, 274 replies)
This thread are for short questions that doesn't really create a discussion but can be answered by a single short sentence really. Creating threads like that seems so pointless, but since some ppl got very short questions it's kinda evil to ban (the questions, NOT the posters! lol) them lol.

Anyway, I want single short questions in here, nothing else. If you have many short questions, that might warrant a thread of its own (especially if they have a common theme).

Example 1: http://sc.gosugamers.net/thread/195831
Example 2: http://sc.gosugamers.net/thread/195704

sweet, I like this idea.

Marine damage < larva armor, yet enough marines can kill a larva. Howzat?

they always deal some dmg by attacking a larvae, it's partial damage, but as more marines shoot, the bigger the damage is (it's adding up). i can't really tell how big the damage is, needs some calculation, but i think it may be 0,5 per one shot.

Anyone know the max number of units that can be recalled with one recall?

#1, minumum damage dealt, even if armor is 500 vs a drone's attack, is always 0.5. A larvae got like 20hp, right? Or I dunno.. Let's say it has 20 anyway. Meaning it will take 40hits to kill it (not counting in life regeneration). Which is not that much..

#8 starcraft actually DOESNT use noninteger values!
to be correct: the in-memory stats of hp/dmg etc. are proportionally much higher than the ingame shown values(they are calculated by [actual integer number] DIV [some constant]..

(DIV means division without rest | a/b=x,yz.... -> a div b = x)
im not up-to-date to the proportional factor value, but IF i remember correctly its 4

sry for being not too sure about the value cuz i aquired that info quite some time ago

or +1 armor can work too if you got enough to kill the lurkers quickly anyway.

#5, enemy units cannot be recalled. But you do bring up a few interesting questions that never really reach the point of being viable questions anyway:

1. Can you recall your ally's units? (I'm guessing no)

2. Suppose you mind control a terran and end up with some tanks. Can you recall a sieged tank, and will it remain in sieged mode?

yes, Every unit you have can be recalled, in every mode (siege/unsieged, etc) except burrowed units.

OK, here's another very set-up recall question:

Suppose you have two arbiters, one at location A and one at location B. Your army is at location C. You perform the following two operations in rapid succession:

1. Arbiter A recalls Arbiter B.

2. Arbiter B recalls army.

Will Arbiter B's recall complete successfully, and transport units from location C to location A?

If i get this right then yeah it will..Arbiter a uses 150 energy to recall b,and b uses 150 on army..so yeah it works

QUESTION : Can you recall statis'd units?
QUESTION2:Can you recall a ghost that is painting a target for a nuke?
