    when you have a big group of vultures, and command them all to lay spider-mines.

    Because they over crowd the space and get lay them down. If you have a group of 12 take them in three groups of four to lay mines, or click each one to lay it, you get more precise mines, and more control over where you want them to go, i only tell all my vults to lay mines if im in a rush.

    1) If you send on start all four workers just on one mineral, they either stop stacked infront of it waiting till it's their turn, or automatically spread themselves on other minerals. Now I wonder what does it depend on?

    2) If you frozen vessel/overloard, does it still have its detector ability?

    This isn't a strategy but a map-making question, but it might be so basic as to fall under general knowledge because I'm a huge noob when it comes to map-making.

    I've just finished making my first map that I believe isn't total shit (almost perfectly symetrical, seems like cross-race balance could be decent) but I can't figure out how to place neutral buildings (ex: Xel Naga temple as a block). I tried putting them under control of a 3rd player and making that player neutral but then it wants another starting location that it randomly spawns to and all the temples disappear in game.

    Thanks for the help, I feel like a massive, massive noob right now.

    Using Starcraft X-tra Editor, btw. Should I get SCMDraft2? I hear it has better terrain functions, but I wouldn't think I'd need it for something this basic.

    i got some questions about hallucinations, im not sure if it was asked before
    they take more damage or something? I bet hallucinated zealots dies to mines much faster and i remember chalrange vs rock where hallucinated arbiters just dissapeared under storm

    i dont think double damage is enough to kill hallucinated arbiter in half second. It is possible that storm just cancel hallucinations?

    EDIT: ok, checked, thats fact - storm cancel hallucinations

    All spells cancel hallucination actually, as far as I know.

    I've replaced them with sprites, but every time I start a game with my map I get an error message and sc closes. Anyone have an idea what usually causes this?

    Edit: Never mind, I only had the problem in melee mode and I just made it into an obs map.

    New problem. Seems like the problems never stop when you're just winging it trying to make maps. Obs mode doesnt work. I just guessed at it and coppied some triggers from another obs map. Here's what I have so far:

    If someone could make me a functional obs format I would be deeply in your debt and include you in the map credits or something.

    This thing is still in progress with much balance testing to be done (probably should call it v 0.4), so instead of telling me I suck, constructive critisism is much appreciated.

    Actually the probe that got to already-occupied mineral late splits by himself. If a probe gets to an occupied one too soon, his AI screws up and doesn't split. That's why you see 1st and 2nd probe just sitting next to each other, and only 1 doing something, 3rd waits a bit, but splits eventually, and 4th splits instantly.

    And I'm pretty sure detector units lose their detection if they are "frozen" as you say...(did you mean "stasis'd"?)

    1) Can spider mines detect cloaked units like DT?...

    Not like it can allow you to see them, lets say I move a DT over an area filled with spider mines that I don't know, would the mines still activiate and attack my DT?

    2) Can protoss build their buildings on enemy pylon power?...
