hey Eresea! Maybe you should stop being so nazi about threads with a youtube video in the OP.

Spartans thread about Karune singing had more to it then just a video.
It was a proof that Blizzard listens and responds to the fans in a humorous way. Not only some stupid "THIS IS SPARTA" video or something.

That thread had potential to be interesting, if the video was posted here noone would bother and the vid would get no attention at all..

There is a difference between creating a topic for a shitty vid and creating a topic with a video that can create discussion.. Noone replies in this thread.

Check this page for example? ppl posts videos but noone responses.

Maybe you should create a topic for pictures aswell? Where all supid pictures can be posted? Or a topic where you can ask for help?

This forum is dying, and you lock every topic that contains a youtube vid?! thats nonsense! FFS you got 2 (2!!!!) "active" threads in the general forum where there are more then 3 replies every day. Those threads arent even good! One thread where ppl try to find pics of trains and shit with numbers and one where pppl spam their musictaste without anyone caring..

So at least try to consider the discussion value of a thread before you close it..

Something needs to be done and thats not closing topics which may contribute to better discussion!

that thread was a borderline case. it was locked and linked here because it was not really anything else than just another "funny video" no matter who it was about/by. It was Karune, which makes it borderline, but it was still just a funny vid with no real relevance.

The decision will not be changed.

Before we did this the general forum was spammed with lots of video threads, this sticky is the only solution. Unfortunatly that makes posted vids less popular, but honestly I'd rather have that than the entire general forum only dedicted to youtube vids.
