Anyone else think that top left Luna the Final is horribly imbalanced?

All workers have to go up to get to the minerals, increasing travel time by at least 20%.
Gas on right, slowing gas by about 25%.

it is 3 workers in that gas just like the other gases???????
and why the *** would it be +20% travel time to get minerals??
I don't believe this. Why would the top players in the world play this imbalanced map and not notice it unlike the normal US citizen came and pointed this out?

If you could check the python map example right starting location mineral place the second lowest if u put your scv to gather or any other it will grabs the mineral yes but goes around it once and then back to taking minerals.

You get better time to split, though. It's the same at LT, and t hat map was overused in the Korean scene. Either way, the time is so insignificant that it's not a bother at all. The landscape in the middle however, is something more viable to complain about. No turrets in the middle.

I'm not complaining about race imbalance ... (turrets, buildable area, etc) ... well, it's imbalanced against terran ...

but I'm just saying that they really should have put the minerals on the left side of the main and the gas to the top side ... would have made it a lot better.

in the early game, when you have maybe 10 workers total, 1 scouting, and possibly 1 building something,having 4 on gas instead of 3 is huge.

also take longinus for example. the 6oclock main of longi has the minerals at the bottom, making them hard to split to in the beginning.

However, the difference between the 6 at longi and the 11 at luna is that it is POSSIBLE to split perfectly, while it is IMPOSSIBLE to get the first 48 minerals at the same speed on luna.

it was a pro map for 2 or 3 seasons, and all pro maps go throu serious greed tests b4 gettin officila clearance. this means that ur "guess" is wrong and all positon's mine pretty much the same amount for all races.
on the other hand, luna is slightly imba for t due to the wast open space in the middle of the map with unbuildable terrain layout, wich makes it hard to establish well fortified push vs toss, vs zerg that doesnt matter so much or at all. another thing that gives t a headache is flanking by z/p more mobile armies wich is possible (again) due to huge open space in the mid and wide bridges next to mineral only exps.

The gas can't be fixed as terr or toss, at least not with my knowledge. Zerg can do it by placeing the third hatchery beneath the gas, and by doing that gaining the fastest gas of all 4 positions.

Luna is a horrible position imba map. The luna version used in the carrier had these things fixed though...

Gas imbalances make zvz horrible on luna...

Btw, to me it feels like the 6oclock position at longinus have faster minerals than the other two positions. Are minerals mined faster when they're beneath the hatch?

And yes people - on many versions of Luna there IS indeed a small gas imbalance. Do some research :)

What about iCCup's Luna? Is that map unbalanced? If so, can someone upload carrier luna? i dont want to play unbalanced gas maps:P

The workers make some extra travelling, but it can be fixed with supply,pool,core and that isn't so significant. And for those who thinks its imbalanced between races: When you are required to play different strategy, doesn't mean imbalance.

It's true that in all maps there are small differences in mineral distances and gas stuff, that sometimes can be fixed with pool/pylon/whatever placement, but the only one where i "feel" that i'm always behind is the top left position @ Luna. It sucks, i agree with #0.

Everything else is ok, i have never had any problem with race balancement.
