I use ball mouse made by Compaq (quite old). I just got used to it so much, that I find myself unable to play on competetive lvl using an optical mouse.

lol so much for an fact that i saw live on blizzcon 1 month ago. and yeah nal_rA got about 220 average in apm MOST not all, other pro's got around 300 or more.

There was quake 3 player from poland who have been owning for some time with ball mouse so... well, mouse doesnt make you better, but it helps alot i think, for me (cs 1.6 player) mouse is something important to have, cause i need fast shoots and 180 degrees turning and hitting in enemy head in less than 1 sec!

HEY not so long ago (about 2 years) when laser mouses have max 800dpi ball mouses were much more precise so there is nothing weird in that pros were using ball mouses ;)

I knew a lot of people in FPS games that swore by their ball, but when it broke on them and they tried buying new ones, they just weren't the same. So if you want to use ball, try finding an old one.

BoxeR used Microsoft Wheel if I remember well.... by the way watch some newest korean VODs and focus on their keyboard and mouse.... they have just basic cheap performance, no super high brutal RAZER mouse (like me :))... In my opinion your success in starcraft really doesn't depend on your mouse...

a friend of mine got probably the most expensive keyboard (Logitech bla bla bla with a miniscreen and other "inventions") and I have to say that imo my shitty keyboard from local supermarket is more comfortable and the time of reaction is almost the same, I can't feel the difference.

Koreans have ULTRAFUNNY HEADSETS HAHAHAHHA!! It look so shit that even if they are the best on the world I would probably wear some other with a normal look xD

I still got a really old ball mouse. I have it since 7 years and it's still older than that. It was white in the old days, now it's kind of ocher. xD Still works fine. ^^ Though sometimes I feel that I could be 1,5 times faster if I switched to an optical mouse.

I have that Keyboard, Logitech G11 / G15, and It wasn't expensive, bought my G11 for $63. Sure it's more money than a normal keyboard costs, but it isn't that much imo.

Dont Flame on me if this existed before, i havent found it otherwise i wouldnt had create it...


i use ballmouse currently and there is nothing wrong with it.. but you will need to increase mouse sens or else the ball will roll when too fast movement.

most ut and q3 players use an old intellimouse 1.1 or 3.0

it has 400 dpi but dpi means shit. it has good grip, precise senzor and it fits well in ones hand. that what makes a good mouse, not dpi or the number of buttons.

it's like a guitar, you can get a gem for 200 USD or buy crap for 1000 USD.

Zoler, my friend gave about 200€ for his one, I dont remember model but he bough it as fast at it was possible in Poland ;) I was wondering if good keyboards help in games, are they?

#35 dpi = precision. More dpi mouses are faster than less dpi mouses on the same sensivity and thanks to it U can set lower sensivity and your cursor will be more precise, but yes I agree that 400dpi and 4000dpi mouses are almost the same ;)

When I was thinking about buying my mouse (MX-518) many pple tell me that ball mouses are better cuz of they are cheap and theirs precision is on the same level that MX-518, they also said that balls will work for a long long time and laser mouses can break even past 1 year or slt. But those ppl forget that balls often dont work good because of dust on scrolls, what imo is very annoying and it can compeletly take us out of rhythm of game. But now when laser mouses are even more precise than balls I cant find even one reason why pro players are using balls O_o
