Boxer use ball mouse? (2732 reads, 42 replies)
I heared somewhere that boxer uses a ballmouse is this correct, and if it is: "wtf?"

Dont Flame on me if this existed before, i havent found it otherwise i wouldnt had create it...

yes Boxer used a boll mouse (MicroSoft standard) but now in 2007 he uses a laser mouse :P

everyone starts from something, boxer has proven that mouse is not an issue in starcraft

boxer has proven that ball mouse was the more precise mouse to use 7 years ago. Obviously if it were still the same case, he'd still be using it. Optical > ball mouse at this current time.

What mouse you use is just a matter of what feel confortable. Their accuracy (or what the hell you call it) doesn't matter at all.

Sure you buy some 2k dpi mouse if ye want, but the advantage you gain from it is less than 8 extra minerals 20min into the game.

You're exageration is crude and pointless.

A good mouse is not 8 minerals after 20 minutes, a good mouse is the ability to quickly pull out an irradiated mutalisk from a stacked bunch.

A good mouse is the ability to select more quickly and more precise the marines on your screen when you need to spread them to avoid lurkers.

But you already know that; the reason you say mouse precision doesn't matter is because of your smugness. Moreover you yourself probably own a decent optical mouse.

nal_ra still use ball' mouse though. he used it under blizzcon last month probably why he got so low apm compared to the other pro gamers too.

Nal_Ra doesn't use a ball mouse WTF how childish can you be ?

Moreover he doesn't have low apm.. his apm is well over 250.

with a good mouse i'm 3 times better than with a not-good
what i asume as a good mouse is 1. comfortable (small and light for me) 2. accurate
but if boxer has used to a ball mouse, it won't be hard to become a good player with such one...

Really old optics can be quite gruesome, but hey. Great mices has been around for I don't know how long time and nowadays even a basic dellmouse is so good that there won't be any differance in accuracy compared to one of those 2k dpi gamer mices.

Unless you got one of those old really unplayable mices, how comfortable it is is all that matters.

Nal_Ra does use a ball mouse, last time I checked. It's a favorite passtime of the observers/announcers to comment on Ra as he cleans the mouse before every game.

Nal_rA`s mouse is a ball-mouse :)
I saw him last month cleaning it.. yeah, i was like "wtf?!?!".. but if it is better for him.. :)
