Hi guys I'm a semi-mediocre guy who plays Terran and recently I played a few games with my friend (who is a little better than me). He was Zerg and used Queens+Defilers (Swarm+Ensnare) in every one of our games. I know that Swarm is always used in ZvT so I was trying to micro against it but wtf? Ensnare made it impossible to move my units away from crossfire because their movements were slowed so much that the Lurkers simply walked up, took their time burrowing, and owned my Marines/Medics easily. Even if I somehow managed to survive the Lurker wave, then came a group of Ultralisks who just wrecked total havoc on my base with the help of Swarm/Ensnare. Also the Scourges have a much easier time killing my Science Vessels too because of Ensnare.

So any gosus plz tell me the solution to this. It's hella annoying.

well, to afford that he must be so ahead of you anyway, say he put all in ulta-ling i think he would still own. I guess the problem isnt the strat itself, it's just that he is better. Why dont you upload the rep

harass from the beginning -> learn some timings (i recommend 66's reps vs z's from China WCG 07') use i-rad on his packs of queens ; )

macro problem + micro problem(not sure how u play) + problems understanding the situation

i'd say show us a replay.
U can do one thing vs queens + defilers. Imo is EMP + irradiate. I have to say that queens are pretty hard to micro and that, coupled with the defiler who is also decently hard to micro means that his army will be less controled.

1-2 EMPs at right spot should do the work. then irradiate a lurker close to lings spread ur tanks and marines and be ready to micro macro micro macro and send reinforcements to ur troops.

queens+defilers does not require any form of superiour macro. However it is VERY taxing on micro.

What you need to do is to go SK terran pretty much. Keep as mobile as you can, try to have your m&m in lose formations to reduce the effect of ensnare. Make sure you mass vessels all the time. Irradiate both queens and defilers on sight all the time.

He will be forced to either go hydras or scourges too. And NOW we have a macro problem for him. He needs defilers, lurkers, queens and scourges/hydras. That will cost a lot of gas. So keep down his expo numbers with drop harass. And make sure that army of yours is constantly moving.

Upgrade restore for medics too, so you can remove any parasites. If you have parasited units you're an easy target for first an ensnare raid and them normal all out swarm attack. So restore those units.

Basicly, SK terran, keep moving, keep harassing, get restore.
