TvP help (rep inside) (447 reads, 6 replies)
i thought i played average in this game (to my standards) and i still got owned.
Can anyone help me with what i did wrong and what i need to do?

sorry that i don't write an essay now, but i just woke up:

- i guess your speed is too slow: P had more apms then you
- until the 12-13 you had the advantage, try to pump units earlier and attack in that time (as you more or less did)
- you messed up with your attack: that battle should be your win, but you seemed a bit unsure --> scout the enemy army better and siege tanks not in one bunch --> micro all your units better

the last point was the fatal mistake, there are other small mistakes, but i think he was maybe a bit better than you, try to get more speed and to drop more (works quite good at RoV because you are even possible to take the island) - 2tanks ind dropship + 6-8Vultures works great (use the narrow path in the north of the map)

k i wish i could help you, at least a bit, all in all you know what's to do in TvP (except of harrasment ;-))

well i know EMP would have helped a lot, since every battle i fought with half my units due to statis.


And i think i should have pushed earlier and tried to make a contain but every time i did try i seemed to have lost the small battles pushing me back into my base

tvp is macro oriented match up. On rare occasions can the terran pull off something cute and micro intensive towin.

just concetrate on macroing and the main concern is your 2nd expo. if you cant take it until you have enough units to defend it with 5-6 factory. (Python)
Otherwise just take your 2nd expo quick andm acro steady and then attack.
Safe , good way to pla yterran that either forces the protoss to mass expo with arbtier or just carrier.
